If you can find one to test drive, make sure you drive thru town and turn into the parking lot of super market. Now go ahead and park it , then go to the next shopping center and repeat. I LOVE my Deuce but when my D.D. was in the shop and I had to do all the daily things in my Deuce for a few...
Looks like adjusting to your enviroment well:razz: I might need you to tell me where to get one of those cold suits you were wearing cause the last three days I've woken up to ice on my grass:shock: All kidding aside, looks like your having fun, careful doing doughnuts in the Deuce though!
Along with Clinto , Will Wagner did the same project. As I recall he did a similar write up w/photos. I myself struggle mightily with the search feature but it may help you alot if you find either post
Maybe the T stat ? I put a new one in my CJ that was defective, wasnt completly opening, swapped it out then she was fine. Another thought is ( I'm not familliar with M37/ old Dodges ) but are water ports within the civiy head the same as military head?
drjconley, There is a MV wrecking yard of sorts down here in So Cal that has alot of 5 ton stuff including 6-9 Wreckers. Some of their stuff they will part out , others are complete units. To visit their yard is by invitation only and we try to go there every couple of months. Shoot Will Wagner...
It is amazing what all the flat heads were capable of. I just inherited the mid 40's 2n Ford tractor that was given to him. Darn thing starts to pull the front wheels off the ground if the rear blade gets too much dirt behind it! Those old flatties will run almost forever if you change oil often...
Welcome Brian! The Deuce that Reuben highlighted belongs to one of our very own's brother. While I dont know the brother or the truck, Tyler is a very straight forward and honest and I'm sure he would give you all info he has ( good or bad ) Keep an eye out in the next month or so for a So Cal...
Out west here is Idaho Motor Pool, Antelope Valley Truck Parts and Boyce Trucks & Parts, They might be able to help. If you find one post up and let us know, I'd like to find one too
I installed jatonkas spin on oil filter kit last month and couldnt be happier! Even after sitting for a week the old girl has pressure in about 3 seconds vs. 12 seconds for stock. I'm not an auto/engineer but its gotta help with longevity
Looks like a good find from the pics! 2 weeks ago there was a MB for sale in my local paper, $2500 " runs but needs work " but lack of time and cash kept me from checking it out to see if it might have been worth it. Someday I hope to remedy the time/cash problem as I'd like to have an old MB;-)
