    Pawnshop builds a M116 flatbed...

No, I have been too poor:( I DID use the trailer to haul some troop seats yesterday though...

    Pawnshop builds a M116 flatbed...

SWEET! He needs to skin it in riveted aluminum, paint it OD and let it weather like a B17

    M101A3 bed length issue

Take the tailgate off when hauling a load of plywood, or mod the hinges to give the extra 1/2".

    M416 Civiian Wheel Interchange

The M416 wheels use tubes, as far as I know you will have to tube a tubeless radial tire on the stock wheels. I would go with stock Jeep wheels and not worry about the 1" offset difference.

How fast does a M1008 go?

Yep, that is the guy I got mine from, via eBay (If I knew he was SS I would have gone direct) It is designed for a Deuce tachometer

How fast does a M1008 go?

Here is the way I remind myself (and others driving my truck) not to speed, crappy cell phone pic:

How fast does a M1008 go?

My M1028 is very quiet and smooth, so quiet that I have to watch the speedo to make sure I am not over revving. It WILL go over 55 but I want this truck to out live me so I will not go over 50 (55 indicated, my speedo also reads 5 over, GPS verified) I can see how someone driving a nice, quiet...

    Ferret at Veterans Day Parade

Yes, there were Ferrets in Vietnam, belonged to the Aussies Though, if I had to bet, I suspect they were remembering the V-100 Commando. Armored and four wheels, close enough in fuzzy wayback memory terms...

    Air Force two wheeler

That is the real issue here, the laughing stock part. YES the Segway increases the mobility of the individual user, and is much more maneuverable than a golf cart or a motorcycle, HOWEVER everybody that saw them ride by just laughed and pointed. There was absolutely no air of authority...

    Air Force two wheeler

They WERE zipping around herding "cattle" very easily...

    Air Force two wheeler

I saw this at the Air Show today on Randolph AFB in San Antonio, thought the SS crowd might like to see it too:

    Painting by the numbers

That is the "registration number" as shown on the data plate:

    Painting by the numbers

It is my "new" one, and it IS registered FMV, but not with the bumper numbers, I did it the way the Army did it, on the inside of the driver's door:

    Welcome Home SIR!

    Show us your Military Trailers

With a NEW style bed on it! From my observations I believe that was the last M101A2 bed design before they went to the M101A3 bed with the skinny fender wells inside the bed.

    CD/AM FM radio player

It's portable! Car bat, XM receiver, some speakers and a 30mm ammo can, works anywhere on the planet... One of the kids with the truck made it, said he made some extra cash manufacturing them while deployed in Asscrackistan. Clever

    CD/AM FM radio player

Here is a radio I saw in a Texas NG PLS last year:

    M105A2 Hardtop

The exhaust fan in the M109/M185 shop vans vents out the side and has a flap that opens when it is on, and has a cover over the outlet on the outside, and moves a lot of air. I bet you could fine one of those in a MV scrap yard.
