I am re - painting the truck and wanted to add the numbers.... I thought the six didgit number came from the data plate but was not sure :
The Manufactures serial # is : W24be7s168192
The Registration # is : NGOW7R
I have never seen a Marine truck numbered with letters so I was going to use...

After checking your dist. cap and rotor, plugs and wires:
1) If you have a new Ballist resistor on hand just plug it in , It does not need to be mounted to the firewall to work.

If you ruled out black, then go with tan, at least it is a color you would find in the woods and will go better for your project than gray..... Gray will sitck out like a sore thumb.
Here are some pictures of my truck before the restoration, This is how Uncle Sam had it painted. you can see it is very similar to the M-715 lay out. The brown above the fender wells is where they threw some primer on it to prevent rust......

I never really thought about selling them, I doubt there would be a big market for them because you don't see to many...
