How many different 8.3 liter cummins blocks are there?

The 5.9 used first the VE, then P7100, then VP44 then retired with the CP3 (common rail) pumps. The VE/P7100 were 12 valve heads and the VP44/CP3 was a 24 valve design. You can bolt a 24v head onto a 12v block or mount a P7100 onto a 24v engine and have the holy grail of Cummins engines. The...

    M915A2 M915A3 Freightliner Tractors?

They should have put the newer DD15's in those trucks versus the 60 Series. The 60 is a terrible engine in terms of oil leaks, turbo failure, plus the jakes are alot weaker then anything Cummins/Jacobs ever produced together. they should have either put a DD15 or a nice single turbo C15 Cat in...

    Who paid for ABS upgrade?

That's pretty cheap for a ABS upgrade. If all the parts, labour and engineering to make it all work on that application for $1875 is a good deal. Plus a lil profit too didn't hurt.

First off, I love this place! I have solved so far all the problems my 5 ton has experienced with just reading info off this site, simply amazing! I have a summer project with my 5 ton this summer and my truck came with the G177 11.00R20 tires brand new since refurb (2008ish). they're still...

    M931 won't build air.

I'm going to replace it. With a Bendix AD-9 (with 24v heater) dryer. Simple, parts everywhere, easy to service/rebuild.

    M931 won't build air.

    M931 won't build air.

I'm having a serious problem. I was out taking my truck for a boot around town tonight when I noticed that it wasn't building any air after awhile. My gauges were showing the tanks depleting after brake applications and honestly I can't hear the compressor going into the loading stage with the...
