I think all of the members here want you to get your Deuce and also have a great experience. Don't get the fever so bad that you overlook the long term costs of owning and maintaining one. These
trucks are old and will require ongoing expenditures to keep them rolling. Just make sure you won't...
The cheapest route is hearing protection. Lots of memebers have experimented with mufflers, rerouting the exhaust to rear(original location), sound deadening ETC. I think I'm keeping it simple and cheap. Appreciate the info.
My State Farm agent would only write as a commercial policy. I'm about ready to get it on the road and will

DOT 3 or 4 are good for daily drivers, like you take to work. DOT 5 is preferred in a vehicle that is that is not used enough

Welcome to the site! You met a few of the members already and there are more near you. The support of Steel Soldiers forum will be a big help for you, as it has been for me. Can't wait to see you at Tim's Rally this year.
There is a way, its a keyed handle that you lock from the outside. I think it can be found once the old site is up. It was a garage door or old RV door handle that was used. The one I remember from the th original thread looked just like the original except for the keyed part.
