    Winching observations.

recently went to Mudfest in Colfax, La. It was a really great time while I was there. When people got stuck, there were more than enough folks willing to jump in with their trucks/ATV's to help pull others out. the main thing I noticed though, was a lack of observational safety. People were...

    Looking to buy

A generator for those frequent Louisiana hurricanes. (I prefer a military one as I am the grunt in "grunt-proof"). Any ideas? I know I can search GL, BUT....

    Looking to buy

A five ton for my girlfriend. (yes, we both have OD fever!). Since I have the deuce, she can have the 5 ton. Looking for a reasonably priced one close to Louisiana. Any one got any leads? (I know I could go through GL, but would like to avoid that headache, and I'm SURE private owners take...

    Kicking myself.....

WAAAAAYYYYY back in 1993 when I was in the Marine Corps, I was looking around the lemon lot one day and came across a 1979 M880. Didn't know or care much that it was a military truck, just loved the price: $800.00. Bought it but was getting out and couldn't have it shipped home (I was stationed...

    Did a search.

Amazing how many threads have the term "cup" and "holder". Has anyone built/bought/found a cup holder for their deuce? I drink **massive** amounts of coffee and holding the cup, shifting and steering can get crazy. (Let's just say putting your mug between your legs isn't a great idea either)...

Found this sitting on the side of the road.....

Apparently the people use it for staging their trash for the trashman to pick up....

    I'm coonfuuused.......

I was looking around the forums and saw the thread about replacing your data plates. I checked out the site and decided I wanted to replace mine. Two problems: 1: The info on the plates is **almost** illegible. The parts I could make out led to the second problem 2: According to my SF97 and...

I want to have a Central Louisiana rally. We can get Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma Texas and Louisiana members (and anyone else who wants to come!) down to central Louisiana! I want to find out who is in charge of Camp Livingston or Camp Claiborne and plan a weekend rally when I get back from...

    A perfect day.......

Started the day at 0300, did the walk around, fired up George (the deuce) checked all the lights (fluids were checked and topped last night), cleaned the glass, loaded the thermos and when the pressure built, I was on the way..... The trip today was to recover a Ford F-800 with a crane loader...

    Question

I have to replace a wheel cylinder on the rear axle of my deuce. I looked at the parts cross-reference page and could only find a wheel cylinder kit. Is this a rebuild kit, or a cylinder? If a kit, what is the part # of the cylinder itself? TIA

    Typical

Nice weather is finally upon us.... you know, the time to head out in the deuce, topless, hit the highway on your Harley or lounge on the lake in your boat. (At least that's what it means to me...).... and I get word my company is sending me to Korea for 6 months.... I'll be back just in time to...

    took a trip!

this weekend, I loaded up my deuce and headed to Gladewater, Tx.(200 miles 1 way). After a rough start (had to stop and repair/replace the gasket on my fuel pump;), I got on the way..... Let's just say I'm glad I had the foresight to put some earmuffs in the truck before I headed out. Once I got...
