    Mileage and Deuces

Alright. At the last GSA auction there were 2 m35a2s in San Antonio that looked decent, one with a winch and one without (w/w went for 1300$, w/ow for 1000). They both had HIGH mileage-89k one one and the other about 75k or so. My question is, for the price, were these trucks worth it? Is...

Moving a Deuce from San Antonio, TX north to Fort Worth, TX

Hello all, Hopefully in the next month or so a deuce will become available out of San antonio like the two that were just auctioned off on GSA. I'm looking to nab one if one should come up for sale in decent shape. If possible I'd like to get something going on here with someone in either the...

    Deuces still in use?

Are Deuces still in use in the US military? I recall one member here found an abandoned deuce at a base in Iraq but other than that nothing else. The a3 supposedly was an inter-rim vehicle pending the FMTV trucks. So..are they?

Ferret owners..chime in here and give me some advice

ALright. I found a ferret, a mk 2/3, NON running condition for 12,000 USD in mid-Virginia. The vehicle is in fair condition, it supposedly needs some work (body and engine) to get running. Ferret owners, please visit the link to my photo album to see the vehicle in question. My opinion is...

M47 Patton Tank wreck...photo link inside

Fascinating. Perhaps someone here can drop a line to the owner and restore it? It looks complete, would make a big project but in the end worth it! A little info on it My guess is that this might've been a range target at one point (though a "gently used" one, since there aren't a whole lot...

    Multifuel=?

Okay, educate me on Multifuel...and if I'm correct, not ALL deuces are multi-fuel. Later ones are diesel only, early ones are gas then diesel... Multifuel means you run it on a mixture of gasoline and diesel, correct? Yes I'm a retard.

    Why FV432's so cheap?

Is there something fundamentally wrong with FV432s? 3500 GBP (manby motorplex)+Shipping+EUC can't be more than 15k for one.

Going rate for a clean 2 1/2 ton running truck?

Curious. The whole GL situation is making me put it up on the list over a ferret. I've got up to 4k$ to spend, I'd love to get a 5 ton if I could but the 2 1/2 would work.

How hard are deuces to work on?

A guy on one of my other forums says that jeeps are super easy to work on. I'm wondering if Deuces are the same.

A search does not seem to turn up anything. Are there any DRMO yards in Texas or the surrounding states?

Current Rate on Ferrets? Post up

Hi, I'm new. I'm curious what the going rate for fair condition (externally) but clean running(or not) mk 2/3 or 2/6-7 Ferrets are. If it doesn't have an engine that's fine. I can deal with that. This would be my first MV. I am going to Marine corps boot camp in mid june and when I get out...
