And even though it is cold outside, I would take a few minutes and crawl under the truck and check the torque on the starter bolts after about a week. Guessing that could be 14 or more starts a day... If they have loosened up you need to know it before it starts chewing up the flywheel.

Don't know about the troop seats, but the bed sides and tailgate store in the center of the bed. Pop open the metal plate, slide them in the first two need to be stacked , then pushed to the front, then add the second two.

Generally the starter that requires a smack with a hammer has a dead spot on the armature or maybe the bearings are worn. You might take it apart and lightly sand the armature to clean it up. That might bring it back to life... Or not. Where did it come from? Straight off the truck, or was...

Like @NDT mentioned, the pinion seals are leaking and the milky look in the oil is bad news. Definitely want to drain it. The diesel in there on a refill will help wash out the milk oil. Assuming that if the front is milky - the other two axles will be the same...
