It is on the right side of the engine between the valve cover and the intake manifold, if it is missing there will be a bracket with two holes in it where it mounts.
If you have driven it for two years without one you are damn lucky you have not turned the motor into toast.
Good catch!!!! I forgot to ask if his truck originally had fording ability, non fording trucks do not get the CDR valve removed.
But it is imperative that he know, one little nut washer etc. gets in that hose and the engine is toast!!!
It is simple though, if you have IGN voltage and measure the output voltage and the alt is turning rapidly and you do not see about 28V on the output the alternator is defective, no need to have it tested
So the TCM does not require any information from a ECM? was it originally driven by a mechanical engine?
I was led to believe the GM TCM needed the ECM to work, I have communication between the ECM/TCM and the TCCM, I love the shift on the fly transfer case and am dang glad I did not install the...
It is the lead that goes to a terminal marked excite or IGN
If you have 24V at the alt output with the run switch on you likely have voltage on the IGN terminal as they have the same source but worth a check anyway
If that checks out and the volt meter does not show around 28V running then it...
Man I gota get out of S TX, I love it here, some of the reasons are it is pretty much a desert, no rain, no water and everything here tries to sting you stick you or bite you so only the tough survive, but it is flat as a pancake with no public land.
Anyone that lives where there is some terrain...
I was not aware anything was available, I believe all those parts have been sold, there also would be no cross member because the Alpha used the 4L80 trans.
There is however some adapter plates to adapt the Dmax to the original motor mounts but some other mods need to be made as the engine sits...
That rim was checked and it had .015 and .020" (.5mm) radial runout, the standard for a 16.5" steel wheel is .050" max.
Also when spun up all but the one damaged tire ran true on the balancer.
Some of the others had a little more and a little less than this rim, IIRC (and they are marked) the...
I finally scratched together enough coin to get another tire to replace one of the tires I ruined.
The tire came without its inventory sticker, only a shipping label, it looked to at least to have been handled allot and possibly already mounted
Took it out and one tire was beating me up fairly...
First put a volt meter on the batteries when running those gauges are notoriously inaccurate.
Also please stop just randomly replacing parts, it is a very poor way to fix your truck and can lead to multiple issues that you cause along the way and then have hell trying to figure out.
Actually...
Diggy Dog went for a ride in the DuraVee yesterday, I had to get a harness for her as she can back out of a collar in 2 seconds no matter how tight you have it.
I gave her enough slack to sit in the commanders seat but she prefers to sit in the middle, I tossed down a towel but that did not work...
Here is the spec sheet, so if the frequency you are operating on falls in the -6db of gain, which is likely as the higher frequencies usually have the best gain in these types of antennas, if your transmitter has 50W of output you will have the effective radiated power (ERP) of 12.5W and that is...
It is A and E for diag.
Sounds like you have a short, probably in the harness, you need to follow the trans harnesses from beginning to end to see if it is being pinched or otherwise compromised.
Nothing inside the transmission would likely be able to trip the breaker as all that wiring carries...
