It's to my understanding that a reverse flow pump can be mounted on the NA 6.2. Otherwise, I don't know how people have managed to convert them to serpentine drive belts. For all the bits and pieces you'd need to do that swap, you'd be best served having a complete serpentine Detroit Diesel to...
Home Depot sells 2.5 gallons of Rotella T4 for $40. They're delivering four Fram PH5 filters to my porch for $20, same day delivery. That makes for $18 oil changes. They give 10% off on everything for veterans in case anybody didn't know. Lowes too, but I don't use their website because it's a...
Does RGB light bar mean what it sounds like? Off road disco roller rink floodlight? I didn't know that existed. Sounds ridiculous and I might want one for myself.
Went looking for cottontails, jackrabbits, and rattlers today. Rabbit scat here and there, but no rabbits. Empty burrows. No luck. Climbing the hills, I was so preoccupied with keeping the rubber side down, I did not notice the elevation gain until I looked behind me and took in the kind of view...
Pretty sure this is what you're looking for:

I've got one in good shape, but you're awful far away. Only ever installed the back half. I yanked it out because it was trapping water. If you order one from Rock Auto, paste this into the...
Another peculiarity to my truck is that the IP timing is extremely advanced, but the Warhorses guys will tell you that you have to do that with a HMMWV pump on a NA 6.2 anyway because it's the wrong pump. For me, it was the right pump because it was new in box for $700. If you start feeling like...
Just whatever you do, don't let a welder tell you it's a diesel, so you don't need mufflers. I mean unless you want people two miles away to think you have a big block.
I would assume altitude reduces MPG, but I got an even 20 out of my 09 driving up and down the mountains. Flatland here is at about 4k feet. I'm running a HMMWV IP on a NA 6.2 with an open element air filter and turbo mufflers. I dump a quart of 2 stroke in with a full tank. Sounds like a lot...
Just cut it short so when it breaks off, you can push it in and install another one. You can snip them to a point with a good pair of shears or wire cutters.
Y'all are seriously overthinking this. I'd have cracked my cap in half putting a blind rivet in it and replaced the whole assembly with a civilian unit by now.
You're right to be worried about breaking your cap. You can occasionally find a used one on eBay for entirely too much money. It's cheaper to replace the entire fill hose with a civvy part.
After you mentioned they were just about 5/8", I found some grommets in my junk bin and glued the bump stops into them with a dab of silicone. Saves me having to send them back.
Anybody got a lead on rubber door stops? I ordered GMK414440373S from Parts Geek. The holes in the door jamb are 16.3mm, but the parts they sent have 9mm flanges, so I'm sending them back.
