OK, I wasn't sure to test for AC volts or DC volts (I'm guessing DC volts) and I wasn't sure which pin was A or B, so ... I tested it all four ways -- DC volts multi-meter prongs one way then the other, and then AC volts multi-meter prongs one way then the other, and, wait for it, you both knew...
Roger all; I did notice it had been set too close, and I did reset it according to specs (tighten securing nut at 1.5 turns out from bottom with flywheel), but I somehow missed the part about backing it out again by 1/4 to 1/2 turn and trying again. I'll give this a shot and see what I come up...
Gentlemen, Thanks, very much, for your help. So, I pulled the magnetic pickup and although it looks fine, I'll test it per the TM today; 1-1.5V is what the manual states, but I'll be happy to see anything come out of it within reason. I've attached a few pictures for reference.
There are three...
Gents, I'm not getting power to the ADC100 electric actuator on my MEP-805b, so of course it won't start ... I've read through all of the similar threads that I can find, here and elsewhere on the IntraWebs. Just wondering if my genset problem is obvious to anyone out there. My MEP-805B cranks...
OK, I'm happy to start a new thread ... and I genuinely appreciate your help!!! Frankly, I was concerned about starting a new thread, because all too often I see members pounce on other members for not reading through the already posted threads related to their problem. This particular thread...
Gents, I have similar issues with my MEP-805b, and have read through the threads -- just wondering if my genset problem is obvious to anyone out there. My MEP-805B cranks, but wont' start. I have good fuel pressure all the way to the fuel shut off actuator on top of the injector pump. I did ran...
I'm looking to pay someone to pick up my DRASH trailer from Fort Bragg GovPlanet location and take it to a friends house in Cameron. Prefer pick up with a four wheel drive vehicle as it'll need to be towed to the back yard (about an acre lot); four wheel drive may not be necessary if it's dry...
Well, I bled each fuel filter and the strainer and had good flow with the pump engaged, so I pulled the fuel level sending unit and sure enough, the tank was empty, so I filled it with fuel, reinstalled the sending unit, and sure enough, it ran like a dream. I ran it for about 20 minutes, but...
That was REALLY helpful, thanks very, Very much. Turns out there IS a day tank; that plus the manuals and I'll give the generator another once over on Saturday to determine what's going on. Thanks again!
I've heard of this before, but can't find resolution in the manuals or searching this forum. My MEP-004A was running fine, but then just shut off and the low/no fuel warning light came on. I can start it and keep it running by (a) holding the the switch in the start position or by running it...
Kevin,
Did you ever get any responses to this? I'm having the same problem with my MEP-004A and have read through the manuals and am thoroughly confused. First off, what's the "day tank" and where is it located? My genset ran fine until today, when it decided to shut down on it's own; once...
I have one pallet at Fort Riley that needs to be shrink wrapped before I can have it shipped; I'm happy to pay someone a reasonable fee to get this done. I need to get this done in the next several days; the alternative is if someone can pick the stuff up for me, wrap/crate it, then take it to...
Need help getting six pallets ready for LTL shipping. There are a total of six pallets containing 393 NHC 250 Cummins piston and liner kits that I would like to have (a) restacked, (b) consolidated into four or five pallets, and (c) shrink-wrapped extremely well so they will not move around...
