Had the honor of having the Napa, Solano Veteran riders pose on my wrecker for a group picture. It was a great event with over 15K people attend. A great opportunity to get the word out regarding our unique hobby. Hope to have more folks join me there next year.
I know it's short notice.
I am helping to run the car show and have secured a section for an MV display. This is a huge event with over 15,000 spectators. Let me know if you can join me there.
Big differences between the two trailers. A couple quick searches and you'll find the answers to all your questions.
Here's a thread to start you off...

Airpacks are in the $400.00 range nowadays. There are several suppliers on the internet as well as this site. I think I have some rebuild kits if you are interested.
Sorry, i just found this thread. I see you are using Lodi heavy equip. hauler. I'm not far from Lodi. If you need a place to store/work on the truck, let me know. I have acreage, a wrecker and a shop.
The wrecker was a 4 year project. Very rough but solid bones. Never imagined so much sanding but once you made a clean spot, you can't stop. Period correct as best I could. Details include canvas interior and top, functioning VIC-1, paint, markings etc. Reproduced all plaques as well...
This wrecker became a labor of love. A true Vietnam Veteran tribute truck. Interior, including dash and dash tags are original. Everything else was restored to period correct. Vic 1, AR15 gun, gun ring, etc. The M543 was the pride of the motorpool. Thank you for your votes.
