Rick; I am curious to know the approximate costs to ship a vehicle overseas. Is there a special insurance rider required for the transit? Are there companies which specialize in such transits?
Glad the vehicle is going to a good home. If my gunite swimming pool had not broke, the M1009...
I will jump in here for a bite.
I joined Steel Soldiers many years ago to learn from the more experienced members, and to share my experiences after I learned from them. I am still learning and sharing as this is being written. That is the beauty of this forum, as most anything can be...
If you haven’t done this sort of thing before, I recommend taking Rick’s advice and take the vehicle over to him. In my opinion it will be the best money you will ever spend on the truck.
Just my 2 cents.
Yeah I had that same issue when I installed 4" shackle flip and zero-things. I solved the issue by cutting the tabs off the tube and rotating them (both left & right) up on the tube and then re-welded them. After I got it done I then realized that I had also moved things up high enough so that...
Hmmmm.... The article stated that several drops-per-gallon are required. Guess I was doing it wrong all those years. Glad I never had an occasion or need to disinfect while in the mountains. Thanks for posting that.
I didn’t feel the aluminum would be strong enough to support the combined weight of all the gauges and thermocouples. Plus the aluminum doesn’t crease very well when forming in the press. I may be hanging more stuff off the panel in the future such as cb radio, back up camera screen, etc. just...
After 5 years in the process, the P400 / 700R4 / NP241 is complete and ready to go in the truck. I have decided to wait until a little cooler weather to start the swap-process because my shop/warehouse has no windows and it's like working in an oven during the summertime, even with the overhead...
Thanks for that. I think I am beginning to grasp the theory now. So in your opinion, would your circuit design replicate their OEM circuit, but increase CCA?
Carry an eye-dropper. One drop of pure non-scented bleach per gallon of water. Been doing this for years on my pack-in trips in the rockies. Keep the water out of direct sunlight and in cool storage. By the way, those storage cabinets are "cool". That Waterlox stuff is great. The beauty...
You might consider speaking with Tom Woods in Utah. He may provide an opinion on the Cardan. I’ve purchased all my driveshafts from him for years and never had an issue.
Well, I guess my bubble has burst. I sure did want to increase battery and amperage storage. I wish there was some way to accomplish this, but maybe not.
I stand corrected and appreciate the lesson.
Mike what about the possibility of running a double Cardan at the top? I’ve never done this before so I don’t know. Are those Cardan joints rated for continuous duty?
Guys, the 24-volts at the buss bar is produced by 2 12-volt batteries wired together in Series. For the back battery, more than 1 battery can be wired together in Parallel to maintain 12-volts while increasing the amperage by the sum of the Parallel batteries. As long as the output to the buss...
