I had a look at my heater core. It looked good. I added some cushioning on the bottom to keep it from banging around inside the heater box. It should last a good while. Now I have to get those 2 bolts that mount the diagonal bracket to the firewall to thread into something. I know they were...
I think I know where you are talking about with the amateur rocket launches. Are they in lucerne valley? I almost went to one event last year. Sounds like fun. Take care. Greg
Hi Dan and Family. I read about your journey from start to finish and glad you made it home okay. It was a very interesting read. If I had caught your posts a little earlier I could have convoyed with you for a ways through the high desert and cajon pass in california in my M923A2. Maybe...
2017 Big Bear Summer Event
I"d like to say a big THANK YOU to all the guys at the event. My grandson and I had a great, fun time. Wish we could have stayed overnight but didn't plan on that. Am looking forward to more events. My 5 ton is ready. I checked it over today after the drive...
I will try and come up on saturday for the day. I might bring 2 of my grandsons with me. I will go up through lucerne valley, hwy 18 and then through fawnskin to big pine flat. I will drive my M923A2. Hope you see all there. Greg in apple valley.
Well the Service manual calls it a drain tube. I knew that. Was wondering if anyone has had their trans apart with this same problem. I'm thinking it would be the output shaft seal leaking around the outside diameter. Any ideas?
I have an Allison MT-654CR trans that is leaking out of a small black tube at the rear of the trans tailshaft. Does anyone know what this tube goes to and why it might be leaking fluid? The truck is a 1990 BMY M923A2. Thanks for your help.
Thanks all for the great info. I just got my 923A2 the other day and it was missing the PCB so I am learning a lot. I will see if I can jumper the wires and get it running. If anyone has a core PCB that they don't need/want, I could use one!
