    Store larger sized pictures?

When is Steel Soldiers going to store uploaded pictures in larger formats? The desire to have pictures self-contained on the website so threads remain valid and pictures don't die on 3rd party hosting is working against itself when pictures are reduced to sizes smaller than computer...

Utah offroad trip to 5 mile pass

At the big sand box: Go'n home. Tired, but satisfied.

Utah offroad trip to 5 mile pass

My sleep setup: Carpet on bed floor + cot + blanket padding + sleeping bag + another blanket + medical chest as a night stand + Mr. Heater = Super Cush! [thumbzup] (Though the low ceiling height makes the back quickly tired of bending over) On the road again! https://youtu.be/nl1kEIg3cno

Utah offroad trip to 5 mile pass

We camped just on top of this next hill that had taller hills on either side. As red said, we didn't get much wind at all. Very little fire smoke in the face. :p 10/22/2016: Good morning USA! The first picture is a view from unzipping the front cargo cover window: Camp awesome, always...

Utah offroad trip to 5 mile pass

Trip out to 5-mile pass. I-15 at Kaysville: Leaving Eagle Mountain on the way to 5-mile pass (that is red's M816 wrecker in front): On location: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99jQOldO8oY

Utah offroad trip to 5 mile pass

It certainly was! I loved it. A bit tiring though not having true power steering (air-assist "only"). Honestly, I didn't really notice the gun ring weight, but the ground was completely dry and hard so that was nice. Certainly the front end is heavier but we didn't have much for off-camber...

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

I drove the deuce in 1st & low, which was a bit faster than the wrecker's rear winch power-out speed in 4th. I definitely couldn't move the wrecker while red was on the brakes! Surprisingly, even though on a loose gravel surface, I couldn't/didn't spin any tire (front axle was not engaged). I...

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

I took my truck off-roading at 5-mile pass with Red (click the link for action shots). The tires performed, as expected, very well for this slightly sandy/rocky but fairly firm terrain. It wasn't rock crawling at all, as I'm not out to damage my truck or mud bog it, but to off road, play, and...

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Recently I was asked the question of how wide are the duals from out side of the tread to outside of the tread. Reminder, this is including my 1/4" spacer plate used on each side. Answer: Almost exactly 93"

    Northern Utah camping/offroad trip

Final day notice: Bumping this just in case someone sees it who's in the area and wants to go. No MV required, but encouraged! :) Forecast is sunny this weekend! Lows in the 40's and highs in the 60-70's on Fri/Sat/Sun.

    Rat Fink M985

Cool! I've had some Rat Fink shirts in my day. Is this the final version or work in progress? There appears to be an unfinished portion of the driver's side window by the mirror (it's still blank white), but it's covered by the rifle in the second picture collage.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

What term(s) should one search for on eBay for the basic version of this box (that I assume you modified some)?

    Scepter Military Fuel Can Spout

I received my package from JAGMTE. It was very well packaged in separate padded pouches and then combined into one padded envelope. I had a can with a shredded cap strap. I had to break the collar ring to get it off it was such a tight fit. In the picture below is a side by side comparison...

That's too Top Secret, Mr. Rusty!

brake and clutch pedal adjustment fix.

I already like that you just didn't cut it, but instead left it adjustable. More work for sure, but can always be restored if it doesn't give you enough pedal travel. Do you think that too little pedal travel is a possibility?

    Northern Utah camping/offroad trip

No one else confirmed going? I would have thought there would have been more interest/enthusiasm. Is it too late in the year or something? Or are most of the Utah MV folks going to the SteelSoldier's Georgia rally? :gimp2:

passenger side 5 gallon fuel can installation.

This is a mod I want to do, but I hadn't considered using rivnuts. That's a good idea! Did you install the solid rivets using your Marson tool? What size of rivets/mandrel did you use/need?

    Parts for Scepter cans

I realize I'm bumping a thread that has been dormant for 6 years, but I just hate to see questions unanswered when I know of at least one answer. This seller "JAGMTE" (Just A Guy Making Things Easier) also sells heavily on eBay. But save a few dollars (already expensive enough) and you can...
