When my M52a2 had a Multi fuel adding the spin on filters where great no more guessing on how much oil was still in the filters .
The filters stayed full and the dip stick checked the oil level in the pan.
Level would be better your rear axle now can't have much travel till it hits the axle stop putting the weight on one axle or putting the tire in to the trailer. I hope it works .
Once the lock ring has been started you can use your heel to push or stomp them on . its the easiest part of the whole job. Thank you for posting the pictures .
I one time turned my M52a2 off changed a tire and went to start it and nothing found out one batteries failed in side and I was only getting 12 volts not 24 volts. check them not hooked together .
My thoughts on taking a brake chamber a part is it's only a arms lengths from your face . I have repaired the type 30 chambers and when the spring is broken the tool won't go in straight and feels like it's pulling the spring with only one ear on the tool then I would take the clamp loose...
This is my 85 Chevrolet through the years I have had to replace more then a few times even covering with a dash mat nothing lasts more then a few years till I did this about 3 years a go and cover it with a dash mat because I just happen to have one .To get the foam off the metal brake clean...
