Speaking of Deuce seat covers, what is the easiest way to replace the cushion on the back of the Deuce passenger seat? I have replace the canvas cover but can not get the cushion/rod frame back into the seat frame.

Thanks to each of you for the info. Is there a problem then pulling a trailer with a vehicle tagged as an Antique? And, if not, what would the weight limit be on what could be towed? i'm trying to find any advantage/disadvantage to retitling as an Antique, other than the obvious cheaper...

This radio is mounted in a deuce using the 1029 base. I have the full size antenna, sugar scoop, etc. I do not have an SWR meter however I have tried other radios in my set-up and they work fine. I have also tried my radio in other trucks and get the same results...low transmit distance. The...

I have low transmit distance on my RT-524. Receiving seems OK but I can only transmit for a short distance before the other radio operators lose me. Any ideas? Thanks in advance....Bill

Thanks....I will try again. I saw the bent metal tabs but did not want to ruin the frame by forcing the seat back beyond the tabs.

Can anyone who has done so, please share how to remove the Deuce bench back seat cushion from the seat frame? I will be replacing d/t a large tear but do not see how to remove the seat cushion (back portion) from the frame. Thanks in advance.....Bill

Is there a special strength steel required? I would think so as a winch would require a strong base due to the torque.

Are the front bumper extensions (on a winch truck) standard channel dimensions? I want to extend the bumper on a non-winch deuce and then apply a piece of flat steel in order to make a platform to stand on while working on the engine. Wondering if I can go to my local steel store and get...
