New gun and locking chuck

Are these special? My grease gun locking tip won’t fit and I get more grease outside than inside. I cleaned all the mud and rust off and made sure the little ball moves freely.

You shouldn’t free wheel in neutral for safety’s sake. Transmission should always be in a gear unless stopped.

Synchronizers work with or without the clutch so I don’t think that’s an issue.

Is this transmission synchronized? Most big trucks aren’t.

Should work just fine. I’ve only driven mine about 20 miles so far but haven’t tried it yet. Plan to once my tire fiasco is dealt with.

So far I’ve downloaded 5 TMs and still don’t have what I’m looking for. Does anyone know where to find an exploded parts diagram of the transfer case?

I was able to climb under it and look around briefly. Lubed everything up real good. Also looked under the seat. I can see where the lever has been hitting the plywood base. Has a dent about 1/4” deep in the wood and looks like it needs to go more. Then it started raining again. So maybe this...

The lever is still a little stiff. I can’t get under it right now because it’s parked in standing water with both front tires flat. As soon as it dries up I’ll get under it and check the linkage out.

Now I know why the guy was driving it in low range. It won’t move in high. Anyone had one of these transfer cases apart?

Thats what I was thinking but I couldn’t get the lever to move. I’ll try again tomorrow after work.

Anyone have pictures of the mounts on a cargo bed and what diameter the bolt holes are? I bought a 5 ton that originally had a fifth wheel and the guy took that off and has a cargo bed to go on it. I need some idea before I drive two hours to mount this thing before I drive it home.
