If it’s eow situation. I’m poring everything in the tank that’s not h2o and “ holding petal to metal “ , that truck was designed to do it and damed if I’m not going got get outta dodge 😱
I was asking about the gaskets , only because you didn’t indicate that before you started that there was water in the motor and after you replaced the intake gasket it fill the motor with water , I figured the intake didn’t seat properly on the heads or the gasket was wrong. Even with a cracked...
Since I live in so cal. I’ve been seeing a lot of this bio diesel. And found this write up. Thought I’d share it.
If you have a diesel-powered motorhome, or tow vehicle, you are probably used to seeing fuel pumps labeled with biodiesel content. Typically, they are marked with B-5 and up to B20...
i got my Duce registered as historical right out of the box with a sf97. First don’t go to a main ( big city ) dmv. Those ppl are not bright. I went to an dmv in a farming community that are familiar with dealing with surplus military equipment. They understand the sf97 and associated paperwork...
Was looking at those rims. $300.00+ Each , tires were 400+each. Haven’t pulled the trigger on either , might just buy some mtr’s from CSM. I can use my rims and it 1/3 the price. Not going to be a daily driver. Just parades and looking cool 😎
Dry rot is a crap shoot. I have had tires with cracks that I drove on for years , made in the 60’s recapped in the 70’s driven till 2020. Still worked till I put on some “newer” shoes. Have some “army” recaps from the 90’s that looked new but came apart as soon as they hit blacktop.
🤣
I just washed out my 1123 over the weekend. I couldn’t believe how much mud I took out of it. Along with rocks and tons of other stuff I must have pulled out a 5 gallon bucket of mud from the cab. I didn’t know there were drains in the floorboards , after an hour of spraying and using a shop...
Driven a lot with nvg. Not in a “urban” area but there was still a Sharp learning curve.
I thought the idea when driving with “night vision” was to be in a total blackout condition so you can see while driving and not be seen , I E blackout lights etc. but turning on a 12” lcd monitor inside...
Why would you convert to gas ?? I could see going for the duramax conversion but gas ? Is it at least an ls1? . I just couldn’t pull the trigger on an gas motor when diesel with a turbo has way more power
