not likely no fluids or oil filter were on the unit, pretty sure it was put away like this. sad thing is that according to how many year stamps for storage are on it. it was probably still under warranty when put away and could have been fixed.
Just off the top of my head though say one of our soldiers tried to push the dead crank switch while the machine was running although it would shut the engine down when you toggle the switch i think the scenario that the Mahle page describes could be obtained.
If you scroll it does have an english version so i was able to read the explanation. I guess i will be looking at the TM for a RELAY to make sure thats not faulty before fixing or putting in a new starter.
That MS251 but not under iskra came up and i found it on Area Diesels website earlier today. when i called they said the supplier has no date of when they would be in stock and that was at $400. Might have to call Summit to see if that date is realistic
Folks when i say nothing but quality lets just look at the pictures. I want to have a few words with the person who put that 1/2 inch of silicone covering the 2 nuts on the back. It took a 15mm crows foot to get the first nut holding the wire off. the second one i ended up with a 5/8 with...

-pulled the batteries, installed new ones 51r
-installed oil filter
-filled with oil, coolant
-checked air filter
-Shutoff all the...
I did not order the above alternator, luckily i found a new correct alternator so i will be going with that. I will however keep searching for parts for the broken alternator so i have a spare on the shelf.
I have made several post with part numbers and terminology from the TM so no need to discuss further. I did after looking at the parts break down realize the stabilizer bushings are what had been put in place of the correct parts that consist of these

I thought it was pretty easy. maybe because i had the sway bar swung out of the way. I had more trouble with those 3 little lights across the back than i did with that sway bar. i put one washer in slid the bolt in and then from the top slid the other washer on the other side and i could angle...
Also you posted in another post that this generator was blowing out the seal on the oil filter. Keep your threads together gets confusing trying to diagnose in 2 different threads.
nothing like almost 2 months of staring at the truck wanting it to fix itself. Well today the weather was 70 degrees, low humidity, clouds blocking the sun, wife was available and willing to hand me stuff, and i had the right tools. Pulled the rear sway bar off and rolled it down out of the...
