Hi all. My truck was abused and neglected as a civilian water truck on a farm for years, and then left to sit a few more. I want to go through the engine and make sure it's in good shape before I go any further with the rest of the project and am trying to decide how deep to go.
Planning on...
I searched the forum some and didn't find the number, so I found it on radioshack based of what I found by searching and the fuse from my truck. Figured I'd post it for the next guy. I'm pretty sure it is the correct fuse, maybe some of you more experienced can confirm...
Hi all. Have some threads in the deuce section, but thought a specific one for this question might be a good idea. I have what I'm pretty sure is a USMC M35A1 and want to get 2 or 3 layers of civvy paint off of it and see what the USMC numbers and markings might have been, maybe even retain...
Hello 5 tonners. My little deuce coupe has a 5 ton engine in it. Wondered if y'all had seen one like it or could help me decipher what it un-readable. Thank you!
Old mixed parts M35 VIN ID ?, please.
So this is my old, abused, neglected, messed-with farm "water truck" deuce from my "Got a Deuce!" thread. Need to look into registering it. Tried CARNAC in '09, came back no such VIN.
EDIT: turns out it's an M35A1, not a mishmash.
DRIVER frame rail. Note...
Things to watch out for safety wise, etc.? Brake line chafing points, eletrical chafing/fire hazard points, etc.? Tricky stuff that shows up wiht age that may not be in the TMs. Maybe a make sticky?
Thanks!
800 Series superior off-road ability?
EDIT: nevermind, I had forgotten that it was a USMC spec truck, so it has lockers, and so yes, superior capability...
Statement I read on Pirate4x4
From personal experience in Iraq, I can tell you that these things are unstoppable. They...
These guys keep the deer, etc. alive in the desert out local to me and their water truck gets a lot of miles doing it. Any help for where to look, etc. much appreciated.
Thank You
I just got the family Jeep back. Pics and more later, tried posting last night and the thread went poof somehow. The last owner replaced the glass bowl pump that was in there with an off the shelf pump and let the jeep sit and it quit, presume it dried up. The old pump was in there for many...
Ole cruddy water truck (which we need at the shop, hence the excuse to get it) :-D but it's so old and cruddy I wonder if it's worth messing with. What and where should I look for to see what I'm in for? I'll take pics and post 'em for the experts.
Disclaimer : I'm newish to deuces but...
Trying to find some info on the histo/org eqpt of this Jeep. Pretty sure it was USBP. Any pointers? Everything I've found for info is for newer or older Jeeps, and my serial/VIN has no letters...
This is beat up but says something about a special sales order.
Lots more pics here...
Why doesn't anyone run the deuce drums? Just the weight of the drums or what? They're air over hyd so I don't see why a guy couldn't make them work.
Thinking about turning my Cummins Dodge street/trail truck into more of a trail/street truck. I can get 46" michelins cheap, just needa a set of...
Say I wanted a deuce that had a/c, more power, and was quiet and comfy and stuff. Why not get a 2wd F-550 or so and stick the deuce t-case and axles under it?
Kinda like this. I don't quite like how this looks though. The NDTs are old school and the body style is too modern. Think it would be...
Seems fitting for a mil forum to have a salute smiley. www.socalultimate4x4.com uses one. I don't know how that works, maybe you can get it from there?
