Anti-Aircraft SEARCHLIGHTS came up in another thread recently, and by total coincidence I had a client family come into the Funeral Home that I work at last week who happens to have FOUR searchlights and they are FOR SALE :!:
In the course of conversation our Deuce came up and he mentioned...
I have a question that I have not yet seen addressed here......
While there are many discussions of powerplant changes IN the Deuce....
Gassers
Multi-Fuel (M35A2)
Cat Diesel (M35A3)
I have yet to see/hear any discussions about.....
Has anyone (as a manufacturer or a private individual) ever...
Attention Steel Soldiers:
Each year, the Show Of Support group out of Midland, Texas sponsors a hunting trip for injured service men (and women). http://www.showofsupport.org/
This year's event starts on November 18th inMidland TX with a banquet and guest speaker Lt Col Oliver North...
Driving home on Saturday, 7/24/2010, with just one stop sign to go, I was shifting from 3rd to 4th and the clutch pedal "went floppy" and wouldn't disengage the clutch/drivetrain.
When I say, "went floppy", I mean that the pedal depression effort dropped to near nothing, although it does...
I have recently learned of a M151 Mutt that may be for sale "soon".
The short description:
NEVER been CUT for de-mil !
Rust Free!
Has been repainted to "USMC color"... whatever that means.
Replaced canvas.
Runs great (I've not yet seen it - neither in person or pictures).
Acquired from "A...
I've got a slow battery drain that I suspect is Alternator related. Batteries hold a charge very well, but loose power with runing time. I've been juicing them up with a box charger, but need to find the problem.
At idle, the alternator is only making about 20 Volts at the posts.
Any thoughts?
The following video is a compilation of traffic cam recordings of People Running RED LIGHTS.
It is not specifically MV related, but it IS a SAFETY topic.
Please pay particular attention to the larger vehicles (comparable to a Deuce) and how they behave in the radical maneuvers called...
What are these for? Where do they go?
The 1968 Deuce I recently acquired came with a ton of parts - Including a spare engine in the bottom half of the shipping can. Many of the parts came from the M35 A3 that replaced this truck. So, considering the fresh green paint, I'm guessing they are...
OK, Steel Soldiers...

I just got the call...

BACKGROUND INFO:
I'm anticipating a recovery in the very near future of an ex-Volunteer Fire Department M35 Cab and Chassis, along with an extra still-in-the-crate rebuilt multi-fuel engine. The VFD has replaced their 1968 AM General with an M35A3.
In the process, they pulled the A3 Bed...
The following video (if I can successfully attach it) demonstates a VERY innovative trailering concept.
My question....
Has the military establishment ever experimented, tested, developed or produced any vehicles employing this 360 degree towing capability?
and here now (I hope) is the...
I have the opportunity to acquire an M911. The Vehicle Specification resource indicates and confirms that she's a WIDE BEAST:!:
Does anyone have actual/factual input on the "STREET LEGAL" aspect of OVERSIZE former MV's - Particularly the M911 that is approximately 113" Wide and 30' Long:?: (I...
Texas has passed a new version of their SEAT BELT LAWS requiring that ALL PASSENGERS MUST USE SEATBELTS at all times in any vehicle designed to carry 15 persons or less.
I am not against this as a safety issue - just asking this following "technical" questions:arrow::arrow::arrow:
How many...
Ok,I'm a new guy here and haven't been able to locate this info in searching the threads....
On a Duece.... When changing to 46 inch tires (from stock NDT's) is there an easy way to recalibrate (adapter?) the Speedometer for true indication?
Secondary questions....
What is the actual...

Are there others nearby, or who simply don't have "San Angelo" in your Profile(s)??
Would like to Muster a local Roster of MV...
