Idler arm question
Been rehabbing my front end and Looking at my idler arm.. Is there a way to tell if it’s shot ?? Looks pretty stout… Also, since it’s a bit worn, this bushing (marked in photo) is missing on mine.. Does anyone know if this is plastic (polyethylene) or a rubber type spacer ? Thanks for any... -

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately
Well…. Started chasing down my 32-35mph wobble.. And this happened… New Spindle Bearings New Idler and Pitman New bushings on links, sway and A Arms New Ball Joints Sanded and painted They truly needed to be serviced, craps old… but if wobble persists, I’d say I have it narrowed down to... -

Half Shaft
Ok, here's the dilemma. Torn Cv boot on 7k half shaft. 1989 M998.... Rebuilding it, but it's not truly serviceable in my book... Was going to go to 10k shafts at some point. What do you guys think the problem might be running (1) 10 k shaft with the other 3 at 7k..??? Does anyone think... -

This is why you check your halfshaft bolts.
Depends how you drive it I say.. Standard equipment has done fine with me... I replaced my half shaft bolts with 10.9's just for shits and giggles... I don't offroad much, so really isn't a factor as I do regular maintenance on most items annually. I only drive it 5-600 miles a year though... -

Split boot for outer CV axle 10k success!
Takes maybe 30 mins to reboot a shaft.... just saying.. nice bush fix, but I'll be interested in hearing about the longevity. -
