Welcome to the site from Western New York ! Man that has to be one LONG boat trip , is it a problem with your Customs with importing a MV ?What about the EUC (end use certificate) If you have questions this is the place to ask , good luck , bob k
Very Nice , we are located on the OTHER SIDE of the BRIDGE ! ( EMPIRE STATE WEST) I am located in Lockport , not far from the Falls . Defiantly need to hook up . PM me and I can fill in the details . Bob k
If the "JUMPING " vehicle has ANY computer controls I would be VERY CAREFUL , you may end up with the dreaded " COMPUTER FLAMEOUT" in the vehicle . How would that work , you jump one because of a dead battery and then have to use that one to tow the other VEHICLE ? aua
Yes , Got my HD transmission jack at Harbor Freight , with a coupon . It will work , even through it is China Built . IMHO , even if you purchased a Name Brand jack , it is probably still made in China . As I said just take your time and find a SOLIDER B to help .
Just as a FYI , if you have NEVER dropped a HD transmission , please be CAREFUL . The Alison is a good unit but it does have some heft to it . Things could get ugly FAST , at the very least is a good flat ground to work on and a proper HD transmission jack and a READ of the TM's . You will be...

Lots of HARD work went into the rebuild , but the result was excellent ! what a great MV and a great Thread , thanks for the ride as they say . So Soni , what's NEXT ! LOL
I use the same air jack as Clinto , got it through Northern , plus I picked up a Tire Dolly at the same time . I use a Bunch of Harbor Freight's best 6 ton jack stands . When I jack up the Deuce I use 2 4x4's under the air jack and a sheet of 2x2 3/4" CDX plywood under the jack stands . Most...
Agreed , that will probably open up more once it is heated . You COULD try the NICKEL ROD weld job , but on that OLD cast iron usually doesn't work out well . Best bet is look for another manifold , good luck
I removed my CTIS last year , rear's were a piece of cake . remove the tire , pull the axle , remove the CTIS bearings , burn off the epoxy and air line ,clean up the hub and install your A2 seals and bearings . Fronts require you to install A2 spindle's + seals and bearings . Not a bad job ...
