Good luck.
Let us know how it went -- that is assuming that you still have most/all of your digits and at least some skin to press the keyboard keys. :-)
I wanted to update you that the suggested fixes worked great.
I would still like to find a reasonable source for at least 2 front doors, but what we did so far to patch the broken stitching seems to hold up.
Whatever you do, check the tire pressure.
I picked up some tires with wheels, all assembled and inflated.
Didn't bother to check the tire pressure.
Now less than a month and 1,000 miles later, my 'new' tire is trashed.
Live and learn I suppose; live and learn.

Got my M998 from Texarkana TX few months back. Guys are more than willing and actually prefer to load M998s with forklift. No need to try to start it, aim it, etc.
I got myself stuck last week.
I've been on a self recovery hunt since.
Getting chains, ropes, shackles and figuring out a way to mount my new 12,000 LBS winch.

How common is for the fan to run almost constantly?
While driving my new (to me) 998 at highway speeds (pushing 60+MPH) on a sunny, 70° day, the fan kicks on about 30-45 seconds after it shut off from previous cycle.
I don't want to know what it'll be like in a 100+ degree weather we have here...
Do you have any pictures?
Do you also have a way to mount it to the front?
Where do you normally store it?
I've been looking at the 12VDC winches but have not been able to get past the 12v supply, battery drain, etc.
Is there a way to swap a motor in those and make it a 24VDC unit?
So while I know that the first rule of offroading alone is NEVER OFFROAD ALONE!, there are always going to be times when you're alone.
After dispensing with all the mumbo jumbo about notifying others about planned route, ETA, having provisions, blankets, first aid kit, etc., I'm looking for...
Driver may not be able to since the suction of the mud and the branch across the driveline make it difficult to break free.
Get another unit there, a winch point or a helicopter -- problem solved.
