I've got an old m211 . If I assume that it's shackles are original, what load rating are they? (The shackles that hang on the bumpers for hooking and pulling.)
My 211 has a rusty winch cable that looks like coiled death waiting to happen. If I replace it, what do I need? Is it 1/2" 6x19 wire rope...how many feet long? These winches are supposed to pull 10k lbs?

I'm working on a modified xm211. It's had a chevy engine/4 speed manual trans installed. The truck drivetrain seems to "bind up" when in reverse and turning (much the same feel as a "full time 4wd" truck). I think I've read something about a sprag(s) in the transfer case that were "shifted"...
