HMMWV's for sale, no longer maybe, it happened

Glad to hear the HMMWVs are going to be sold off officially! Perhaps many more thousands of them will follow them into the hands of collectors, or those who would otherwise make good use out of them.

Do we now own a munitions wagon?

I've seen newer models of that in use at bases, just for base use, and for towing around all sorts of general cargo. They are not for road use, or off-road use. Towed slowly around base ( under 30 mph) would be the intended use. Yours would be a neat restore, probably WWII era. Like to see...

How stuck have you gotten your Deuce PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN

I was able to get out on my own, but it took half a dozen attempts. Left wheels were in a muddy rut, right wheels on firm ground. Couldn't turn out of the rut, and going back and forth just made the rut longer.

M1009- from forgotten to restored, my story

    CUCV Radio

I am a ham radio operator, and I like the idea of restoring a military vehicle with the proper radios in it, but trust me, when I build my CUCV it will have a non-functional RT-524 radio in it for display, and for comms I will install a mobile 2-meter transceiver from a commercial manufacturer...

Anyone want to rescue a M211?

That would definitely be great practice for a recovery operation. NH is WAY up in the middle of nowhere, though, not a lot of Steel Soldier members in the great white north. If you can't find anyone to help you out, perhaps you can find someone who can cut it up for the good parts, and scrap...

    Free to a good home

I really could use an MV to get back into the hobby! I could pay someone to pick it up and hold it for me for a little while (1-2 months), please PM me if you can help me out!

How to respond to unsupportive comments?

Was this an in-person comment by someone on the street? Or was it on this board? I'm confused...

saving military communications gear at hamfests

Today was the last local hamfest of the year! Well, local is relative, it was 2 hours away, and normally I wouldn't have spent the gas to get there, but I was visiting my brother further north and stopped in on the way back. Location was Westminster MD, a small club show; club shows are...

M 134 minigun replica build, Terminator style

Looks great - only thing I can think of to make it super-detailed, are data plates, the appropriate decals, and maybe some electrical wiring for the joystick controls. Just being picky, I know, you're doing a great job.

    Thanks Gimpyrobb

I see the hood is already tipped 90 degrees out of level from where it should be. Looks like gimpy has been here.... :)

    M870A1 Acquisition Thread

I'm sure it's for Soni, I remember seeing a MK rollover in his yard in one of the pics, I think he has his next project lined up!

    M870A1 Acquisition Thread

Because if you are a private in the motor pool with a good trailer on the left that's missing a few parts, and another one on the right, they will save time and paperwork and use parts from one to keep the other one going. Plus, what you're asking begs the question: if it's anything related to...

PA - Fall 2014 Rausch Creek Steel Soldiers Rally

ALWAYS have a great time at Rausch Creek! Weather was great this time, the trails are always fun, and the people are just awesome. The lines to get registered sucked this time, though, but not our fault, some larger group sponsored an event there this weekend, and it took me 1 hr 45 mins to...
