this is exactly how I have mine. I also used mag light flash light clamps to mount my plate on the fairlead but allow it to be removable.

For the people asking if a turbo is a worthwhile upgrade....

Yep, I feel the same way but it is what it is. Anything newer than 1976 must have emissions testing. Only thing exempt is cars that are less than 6 years old. I moved from a state where my cucv was an antique vehicle with no emissions to here. Theres been plenty of recent debate about if...

    6.2 Turbo system

That's a banks kit, not a stock 6.5 setup, nice!

    6.2 Turbo system

I used two different kinds. Got both at Amazon. I got dei titanium heat sheath that I used on the fuel lines/injectors and then some thermo-tec stick on heat shielding for other random things like some wiring and the main fuel line on the frame.

    6.2 Turbo system

The hardest part is getting the passenger exhaust manifold on and off. Very little room. I also used a lot of heat shielding wrap in that area. The other hard part was fabbing up the cross over and down pipe. Other than that, it's pretty much bolt on stuff.

    6.2 Turbo system

I think it depends on elevation honestly. I'm at 5500ft and it wasn't terrible around town. Anything above 8,000ft and it smoked a lot, over 9,000ft it smoked at idle. Now with the turbo it's got more pep in town and can actually go over half throttle in the mountains (without just making...

I have tuff country springs from ORD before they had their own springs.

M1009 4inch Lift - Tires Wheels Bolt Pattern Offset???

I have a 2" lift with 33" tires and it will only rub fully flexed and wheel nearly at lock in the front. It's only happened once because that's not an ideal position to be in but was a must at the time.

    Tires for M1009

You have no idea just how much stock original springs sag till they get replaced. I did a 2" lift from tuff country and it raised my blazer up 5"

For the people asking if a turbo is a worthwhile upgrade....

I was told 33% opacity was the cutoff to pass so pre turbo I was on the border of passing at 32%

For the people asking if a turbo is a worthwhile upgrade....

I just don't normally travel on roads with a higher speed limit than 45mph. It's very different here as far as maintaining speed. Back in Illinois I could travel on any highway at 65-70 mph without issue. Here not so much.

    Continental Divide

Elevation and military vehicles are something else aren't they? :naner: Mine smokes at idle up at 10,000 ft and gets worse over 12,000ft

For the people asking if a turbo is a worthwhile upgrade....

I almost never go over 45mph honestly. If I'm on the freeway I can sustain 65mph but really only the one in town as anything with elevation slows me down pretty quick. I see about 18-20 mpg though if I can keep out of it. I'm at about 5,500-5,800ft of elevation though

For the people asking if a turbo is a worthwhile upgrade....

It's a GM4 turbo from a 6.5 using the 6.5 intake manifolds, passenger exhaust manifold and I made the crossover and exhaust. I've been running it about 10 psi or so but turned it down to 5-6psi for the test because I didn't know how "nice" they'd be to it. Anything newer than 1976 I believe...
