Flushing could make it significantly hotter if the heater core is plugged up with crap. Most of these trucks have heater cores that are all plugged up, so it's not a bad idea to flush it out.

I really like the way that top looks! The back wall looks great completely vertical, instead of being on a slope. The local National Guard base has Humvees that looks like this one, except armored.
I've seen a few guys hit 80mph in the 4 speed trucks.
Around here in MA, the highways are like super speedways without turn signals, or any sense of direction. I'd imagine having a 4 speed truck around here would be nice!
It's hard to tell. Any splices I've ever made were wrapped in heat shrink, but some people just hack it and call it good.
