I had the same problem, the cause was rusted componets for the horn button. Also make sure you reinstalled the retaining clip and it is in the grove. Used steering wheel puller to pull steering shaft up to install clip. Good luck

I put in a new vacuum pump will need to get a transmission valve now. Also installed new door locks and Ing tumbler. Took the dash apart and got all gauges working again. Took out the radio rack in the back.

Replaced my vacuum pump today, getting good vacuum at vacuum valve. But not getting anything out of valve. I guess the next step will be to pull the vacuum vale and try to pull it a part and clean. Any one have any words of wisdom? ( required TM referance 9-2320-289-20 sec 3-21) Thanks

Replaced all the bulbs in the instrument cluster, still have some not working. Will take it back out and check sockets. Replaced ING tumbbler and turn signal lever. Moving forward day by day.

First welcome: Start by reading all you can on this web site, down load the TM's you will need them. I started by cleaning all elec connections and using dielectric grease on connections. They say here if it is rubber replace it, if electric clean it. Good luck with your M1009.

I did the Doghead relay, have cluster out an going through it, replaced the heater blower switch works great now. Have new key locks to put on, new dimmer switch coming, installed new head light switch. Cleaning connections and grounds.
