It was a MERRY CHRISTMAS day today, thanks to Peter and Craig who helped load the truck and parts... totally amazing and fun day. As you can see by the one pic"s of Linda(wife who steered the truck up onto the trailer) Dave(m1010ployboy) and myself(Mattech) and also Stavros on the trailer and...
It's Sold!
Well she's on her way to a new home near Edmonton as I'm typing. M101plowboy, Mattech and entourage drove the 3+ hours up with three trucks and trailers to get everything. I think we're all surprised at the amount of NOS parts that came with it. I'm glad it'll be put to good use...
Believe me, we would have LOVED to be there but it just wasn't meant to be this year. Maybe next time.
PS...The least you could do is show us some pics!!:rules:
I had an awesome time Friday and Saturday. The weather was perfect. I enjoyed the chats and checking out all the member's rides. Some very impressive and ingenuitive work.
Thank you Tim and Pam for your hospitality and for putting up with me. The food was great this year! (Tim cooked) He...
You are right! Life does happen. Glad you took care of her, THAT is a wondrous thing to do!! Have thought of the Field kitchen, but like MANY here have said, quite the work load to set up and stow away. We are looking forward to the pictures when they arrive! Congrats on the new cell phone...
A buddy of mine owns an M35A2 and he has a 'poptop' camper in the bed of his deuce. When the camper poptop is down, you can't TELL it is inside the truck bed with the cover on. He modded the rails that hold the bed cover in place. He measured up how high the trailer 'pops up' and then moved...
I found once at Govliquidation brand new in the box MKT ovens with all the pots and pans and small kitchen tools, spoons etc. My MKT trailer was a veteran field kitchen with several pounds of yellow clay mud on the floors. I should have taken a soil sample and figured out where she had been last...
I've previously used a large sand blaster (steel shot media) at one of my brother's places of employment when I was restoring my troop seats two years ago. See:

I had an opportunity again so I gathered up my various projects, one...
Well I just picked up my new to me MKT-90. Seems to be in much better shape than my MKT-75. The 75's frame is rusting thought and has a lot of cracked welds on the aluminum part. If it was on the steel , I could fix those welds that easy.
Now for GP bidders , if it's about to close with no bid...
So I'm voting for jasonjc's TrailerKitchen. It's pretty quirky and he seems to totally use it to full capability. It also looks great in tandem with his truck. I hope it wins so as to encourage other Trailed Vehicular Units to enter in future months.
Thanks for entering it.
Been looking for the approximate weight of a MKT-85/MKT-90trailer without all the kitchen cooking stuff. Basic trailer with platforms, all canvas, ladders.
My wife and I are both disabled and looking for an easily transformed "tent" for camping.
Any helpful suggestions to help us out would be...
Having a very hard time deciding what camper/toy hauler setup to build and would like yalls opinions on this.
Main goals for the camper are the ability to explore to remote locations, specifically in the western US. A highway cruising speed of 55-60mph, sleeping for up to 4, normally 1-2, and...
Will it safely transport an Arpa Model FFSS Mobile Kitchen section on the highway at convoy speeds?
Also, will it transport civvy generic 20ft storage containers?
@Another Ahab, the wheels in my head are turning. With these trailers selling basically at scrap prices, they have to be able to...

I was thinking that. I never saw a M... listed for the trailer. I knoew it's not a M116A2, but didn't know if there was another model number somewhere.
So, for the VIN... would I use the trailer serial number of the Pioneer serial number? GP used the Pioneer, but it also goes back to the...
The official govt answer is it is a Pioneer Tool Trailer. It lost it's identity as a M116A2 when the tool box was added. This is the same as the MKT kitchentrailer. By the book, it is no longer a M104 nor the NSN nor the LIN. I'd say that's my 2 cents but actually it's worth $10.65.
