If the radiator is not leaking, just solder the shroud back together. Any halfway decent radiator shop will be able to do the work for $75 or so. By the way, I am in Yuma. When you going to bring that Deuce down my way?
A. This is your opinion and does not add anything useful to the OP's thread.
B. It is his truck and he may do what he wishes with it. Goes for us all.
C. Lay back and have a cold one
Here is the 800 series TM for the AIR PAK. Basically gives you every step in rebuilding the darn thing with great pictures and instruction's. Works the same for the GMC kit aside from a last step or two but it's all pretty self explanitory.
Scroll down to page 12-12 or do a search on the PDF...
Remember guy's, these trucks are aging. I will be inspecting mine with a fine tooth comb, thanks for posting.
I also ran across a post awhile back where a guy had the steering gear shaft on his M211 break clean off during normal daytime driving. BOOM. Zero steering. He was very lucky to have...
Negative on the coolant, just plumb it back up to the engine for coolant. The coolant passage in the cylinder head is really small. As for oil, the compressor also gets it's oil from the 302 via a pressurized line. I would not fill the unit with oil, just coat the cylinder walls in a thin film...
Finally have myself a printer, scanner, fax, copy machine to play with. Gaskets for the GMC air compressor.
Don't have the specs on all the other gaskets but the original black head gasket is made of fiber/rubber material and is .020" thick. You can probably get away with any thickness (within...
Yep, they are 3/8 coarse thread 1 1/2". They don't have to be fancy partially threaded bolts or anything. The dowel pins are what take all the load, the bolts are just there to keep things clamped together. I torque mine to 35 lbs.
Your pics keep me going dude! Funny how you were thinking of the Stacey David show the same time I was. I swear that split rock we saw had something to do this all this similar posting. Appologize for the errors in spelling, had 3 shots of your famous CR, 1 Dos Equis and 3 glasses of 2002 Carmen...
GREAT idea! Looks like a 90 gallon capacity will still only take 2 minutes 12 seconds to air up. That is an LOT of air! Go big or go home, that's why I bought a Deuce as my first car.
I forgot to add the compressor I saw had an electric starter on it in place of the recoil start, that was an...
Ideally, I would like to blast clean old engines, axle housings, Tcases, wheels, nothing huge. I have a 60 gallon Manchester Tank I could also re-tank it with. According to an air calculator it would take 1:45 seconds to fill a 60 gallon tank to 175 psi with this setup.
At 20 years old I have...
I have the chance to pickup this model compressor on the cheap, though it is an older unit made in 1995 or so. Would this be large enough for backyard sandblasting and running air tools?

Great story, Jim! I can tell when you's been drinkin'!
Well the compressor I was after turned out to be a 3 phase unit and was frozen solid with rust. I noticed a 30 gallon gas compressor sitting in the corner and he is going to take a look at it for me in a few day's, to make sure it...
