I have access to metal fabrication and I am considering making some of the winch parts for the M135/M211.
If anyone has the under cab support, the pilot bearing mount and pilot bearing shield that they can either take pics and measurements of or loan out, I will make some duplicates.
I need some pics to compare with my M135.
I need the under hood fender support pics. This is the support bolted to a mount on the firewall. I believe mine are bent but I am not sure.
A parts vehicle seemed to have different shapes from mine but it was getting dark and I did not have time to...
October 22, the annual University of North Texas Home Coming Parade.
We will be forming up around 9am in the parking lots south of the campus.
Vietnam Veterans Chapter 920 always turns out large number of vehicles and veterans.
Come join us if you can.
Yesterday I drove the second deuce in a Peanut Festival parade in a small town north of here. Carried a number of folks in the rear, covered with political signs so no pics.
Probably no more than a forty mile run there and back, including the parade.
Located the source of some rattles, will...
Anyone have some NOS M135 wiring harnesses? I need several.
I have been getting some of them from Vintage Wiring but thought maybe some members here might have one or two.
Anyone know of a source for gauges with Douglas connectors?
I am thinking about making an adapter wire with Packard male on one end and Douglas on the other to hook up M style gauges?
On the second deuce the air horn developed a high squeal. The more it was honked the less the squeal. But, since I do not want to ride around honking the horn all the time to make it work I oiled it.
I removed the air line and shot Remington gun oil into the air line and reconnected it...
This Monday morning at 8am join the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 820 in the annual Denton Fourth of July Parade.
We form up on the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Bank on the Square at 8am. Parade at 9am.
This gets bigger every year. All are welcome to participate. Lots of fun and meet new friends.
Turn on the lights. Turn signal control on steering wheel lights up. The under hood blinker control can be hear blinking.
No turn signals front or back, left or right.
Any ideas?
We turned out a lot vehicles today. We had six Sheriff Department escorts from Denton to Gainesville and back today.
Many MOH recipients were carried by our group. I do not have a count, although Jimmy may have one.
Some pics:
I got the new repop M66 gun ring back rests in today.
Wow!
Thanks to New Life Canvas for making them.
One is in vinyl and the other in canvas. Great looking!
I have been posting on my problems for the past few weeks.
To recap:
I had AF in the oil. We pulled the heads and found the number five cylinder had the gasket blown INTO the cylinder area. We pulled the head, decked them looked for cracks, found none and put new head gaskets on. After a...
I cannot find the interchange number for the NAPA thermostat. I have done the search but I am not coming up with the list. I saw it posted recently, but I cannot find it.
What is the thermostat number for NAPA?
I got new head gaskets for the deuce this week. Included was a torque instruction sheet that I had not seen before.
I have included a copy of it with this post for anyone who may care about this issue in the future.
I have a missing bolt on the air compressor side mount. Know what I mean?
It is leaking oil. Anyone know the size of the bolt?
What kind of compressor oil and where do I fill it would help also.
