Hello guys/gals I find myself in need of an all electronic Tachograph for my M920, I found one a while ago and upon further examination found that the one in my truck has 3 groups of wires that connect to the backside and the one I purchased had two wire groups that connect but the speedometer...
Why do I get the impression that you are going to either get really good at fixing and replacing a whole lot of parts or this truck is going to be gone?

A while back somebody posted a 939 series truck crossing a river at pretty high speed, the driver hit something in the process of crossing and had the front end of the truck about 5 feet off the ground, THAT would be one H-ll of and adventure!!!!!

We are still running a Freightliner with a 290 Cummins in it and it is my belief that is essentially a 250 with a turbo on it, and of course all are based on the 855 block! We had to go through the heads on the engine at 750K miles and a couple years ago did an inframe overhaul on the engine...
Definitely a 105 they are good trailers and can be found at time for less than scrap price and they are virtually brand new with fiberglass bows and tarps! At one time in Kansas they were coming up on GL by the semi load brand new never even assembled with full bows tarps tires etc. just not...
Well based on your description of the problem you stated that you took the truck to get some "GAS" I am Hoping that you REALLY MEANT DIESEL FUEL and NOT GAS? The difference in your case would be that you now have a destroyed engine, that is what happens if you put GAS into the truck!

Interesting ideas Mattel and I wish you the best of luck and do not take this as an attempt to discourage you at all in any way. Go to google.??? and search under military surplus and see what you find keep in mind EVERY one of the results of this post are going to be your competition! You had...
The full set of TMs was not to bad but I got everything from Paladin press, I think it was about 7 binders full of info on all the 939 series trucks!

Welcome from ND Billm NOW you need something appropriate to pull that trailer, of course it HAS to be the correct shade of green preferable 3 color NATO Woodland!!

I am pretty sure that you made a really good trade, for what you have into it you could do everything there is to get it back into running condition and more and still deep into the POSITIVE side of things!!
Congrats this is the best deal I have heard of yet on a Goat, keep us posted please.

When you try restarting the truck DO NOT use a shirt when attempting the plug the intake with the mushroom off, the tube is to big and you will get the shirt sucked right in and the truck will still be probably screaming by now! Use a flat board that is the most effective way to cut airflow on...
Hey guys it seems I am not doing on my post concerning the cargo cover, hope I get better ideas on this one? I have a 87 Unimog U1300L that I am looking for headlight brush guards for, I checked out the MB ones and all I can say is I thought I was immune to sticker shock (NOT)! I can build...
I would start at insuring it for what you paid for it? Then look at what it would cost to REPLACE it! The truck looks to be in beautiful shape! Keep that in mind when your getting quotes!

Hello Guys I have a question for you all concerning your opinion on what to put on a cargo cover for my Unimog? I removed the cover from the truck this morning and it is stiff and I REALLY do mean stiff, when folding it up i felt I had to be really careful because it was like folding heavy...
I take them off the truck with no problem what so ever then I take them to the tire shop to do the changing, new tubes, valve stems what ever is needed. Pick them up and reinstall on the truck and all is good!
