farmallmilitary I know exactly what your talking about installing 1600r20s on HEMTT rims I just did 9 of them for a 920 all I can say is it sure feels good to have that job done!!!! I also have a 925 with 1400s on it and after doing all these 1600s on the 920 I think my 925 looks just fine with...
Rusty loads that is going to be a very interesting truck to learn, but it looks like it would be worth every second of time required! I love getting new trucks and learning all the new systems associated with them. This is a true beauty! Keep the pics coming and have fun it looks like there...
Thanks Porkysplace I got hold of Mr. Oshkosh and got some very good contact info from him! Does anybody know the TM#s for this blower truck, its a Ex-Navy Oshkosh model W-712, If I could find the correct TM that would be worlds of good info for me to continue. Again any more help would sure be...
Hello folks my neighbor has a 47 Oshkosh with a Snogo blower assembly on the rear the truck is in pretty decent shape and he uses it probably a dozen times a year when the snow get to the level to warrant it. The truck has a 6 Cyl. Cummins non-turbocharged engine to drive the truck and a...
Two batteries of 4? Well to start obviously the military has always used 4 batteries in the 939 series trucks, is this necessary? That depends on your situation, 1st you live in Florida, that would to me be an automatic NO you dont need 4 batteries, is your engine in good shape? does it start...
I just had a truck shipped from California to ND on a single drop deck trailer, it was delivered in great shape and it cost me 4K I thought it a pretty fair deal!

I know this may be a little tough on the paint of your wheels but add some heat to the lug nuts, just take a torch out there and heat up just the nut as much as possible, it wont take long at all then put some force to it in most cases it makes a world of difference!
Good luck

Not knowing your trucks past is not really a bad thing but we all need to be ready to INSPECT everything then do it again to cover anything we missed the first time! Its been my experience with the trucks we drive that TIME and 95% of the time lack of use/moving that is the biggest problem! I...
Hello Guys I recently purchased 9 brand new HEMTT wheels and when I upacked them all tonight I found all brand new O-Rings and wheel nuts for putting the two halves together, what I am missing is I need 9 valve stem assemblies and all the bolts to fasten the two halves together, or if you could...
Thanks for posting I have not seen one of these before, its definitely one of those WAY WILD looking interesting as heck kind of vehicles that unfortunately just would not be worth a darn, maybe like was said before for clearing brush? Really neat in a weird kind of way though!

I most certainly have to agree with Storm 51 you can RESTORE to absolutely brand factory new specs right down to the type of bolts used and you know what that will get you? A whole lot less money and time, always remember our time with these trucks is worth just about exactly ZERO, and all the...
Hello guys and thanks for the assistance, AUTO RESET Good Grief, everything on the truck works fine except the rear brake lights and signal lights, the tail lights work great and the front blinkers are good. It looks like I will be pulling a wiring schematic and doing some tracing and testing...
Hello Folks I recently purchased a 1980 M920 tractor and if going through the truck getting familiar with it and its complications I find I have a big question the TMs have not been able to answer. The BIG question is the circuit breaker setup? The TM states that you open the panel on the...

Congrats on what looks like a very NICE setup, I can tell by the pics that you have a lot of engineering and fab work into this setup please keep us posted on how it works in the actual crappy white stuff, if it works half as good as it looks it should be great!
Nice work setting this one up!
