Usually my response to not getting what I want too! Good move!
I picked up 3 of the 101A2’s last year from RRAD. They didn’t have wheels, but I did, so all ended well. They were all in good shape. Beds were not rusted, not dinged up. They were dumping a bunch of trailers with no wheels in...
It’s good you got a couple when you could. They are solid trailers.
I have the bigger tires & wheels like the 1101’s (37’s on H1 rims) on all mine except one, that is all stock, from the tarp down to the new tires.
I guess it’s a personal preference, but I love the 1101/2’s. They are sexy!
The Jeepers pay more for a good clean 101A2 than a nice 1101/1102. They are a nice light, perfect trail/adventure trailer.
They wont be getting any cheaper if the auctions have dried up. As an owner of 4 of them, I can’t say I’m too upset about that! :)
I don’t think Wes actually drives that much. I think either he has a twin that shows up in all these places, or he has invented a time machine and he just transports himself around.
He deserves props for the miles he puts in. And it’s not just the driving. He drives around and fixes his own...
Agree on the AC as the first install since I hate heat. But then again, I did put a new seat in it while it was still cool. It’s a tie. Do both. It’s a must. I looked at junkyards and they wanted ridiculous money for their seats. Beat up 200,000 mile seats for $1k each. No thanks.
I bought...
Doghead, I guess you have been lucky, or I have been unlucky, because I have not had an alternator yet, out of 4 trucks that didn’t quit working. I’m not fording water or doing anything odd, adding a bunch of lights or running a lot of amps (don’t know if that would take a huge toll on them or...
I love the idea of cranes in these trucks. I’d like to see a better picture of that crane, maybe one in action, even if it’s just extended. And some more details. What kind of crane, what did it come off of, can’t tell much from the picture.
Since you haven’t really done anything on the truck, and it’s already 2018, why don’t you just put the new 2018, X-12 Cummins engine in it?

Im sure it would drop right in.
That would be cool!
I give you a lot of crap. Drop a Texan up there and we would probably not know what to do for the first week. Most of the people here would be unable to drive down their own driveway, much less go to work.
Thats cold. If it were me, I’d have a few excuse meters on hand in case one froze up!
Could be like Newfoundland where they say, “We don’t want to refuse DST all together, but we believe an hour is too much, we will only spring forward and fall back 30 min. Heck, our days get so long and short anyway, why should we even bother! We are really only participating out of courtesy...
Suck it up Nancy. Sure, you got us beat by a couple degrees, but you should be used to it. We get out and work in this stuff and we are in Texas!
Weather at the ranch last weekend when we were working on the tractor, hunting and sunbathing. Actual temps down in the canyons by the river are...
