Sure, it’s just good business. Good business is also to not invest in something that has shallow demand. If you have customers asking for it, guys willing to spend it on this exact product right now, a vendor will take the risk, and foot the bill for 50.
But with risk comes reward. Who gets...
Funny things happen when you start asking for money. Priorities start getting in the way. Kids, bills, divorces, illness, unemployment ... everyone wants one until you ask for a check.

Welcome to most of our youths. Running all over God knows where (sometimes only he knew where we were) with no means of communication. Leaves you feeling quite helpless. Your feet wind up being the only way to get help.
Glad you got it fixed and back rolling. You seem to be quite adept with...
Brilliant! But it’s already been done. So, you ain’t the brilliant one. Sorry. Guys on logging trucks have done this before on the bed of big trucks.
Great idea though. Actually, it could take up less room than something mounted in front of a conventionaly mounted winch, if you did it right.
I was thinking of something similar to what was posted above. Make rollers out of 4” or larger schedule 40 or 80. Weld or bolt, appropriate sized mounting tabs or ears to bumper, and there you go. I say 4” because I don’t like the thought of running a cable over a small radius bend.
The roller...
Didn’t I text you that idea? I think I did. I want partial credit. My initials welded on it somewhere.
I am am a huge fan of using pulleys to load meat.
First exposure was in Tanzania in a Land Cruiser. Pulley Or idler I guess, welded permanently into grill guard for winch to wrap cable over...
I may just hit you up on that. This option is still better than a 24v power unit mounted in the toolbox.
You are a wealth of knowledge and an asset to this community.
Ill draw you a picture if you don’t understand.
I’m liking this pump. I need hydraulics so I can start adding hydraulic things to my truck. Knuckle booms, winches, dump beds, snow plow (for those once a year 4” snow storms).
You seem to be more focused on winch cable routing than maintaining dump bed design. Why hack up a good design over a 1/2” cable that is easily routed out of the way.
You can mount a 10” fairlead somewhere under the bed to slightly alter the routing of your winch cable. That way, you are not...
I’m sure you mentioned but what model of scissor lift did you use? Or did you scrap one from a truck.
You did a great job, simple controls, good solid frame, nice high dump angle for when you need it (parked nose down hill or wet sticky material).
Well done.
