    M1151a1 revb a/c hose

Update - pulled the hose out (in 2 pieces), you nailed it. It actually bolted to a connector near the front evaporator as stated, not directly to the compressor like I thought. I’m gonna have to lift the body to get it back where it was…..

    Purchased a 2006 Humvee M1097R1 - Need Help

Did you bleed the brakes after installing new calipers?

    M1151a1 revb a/c hose

Sure looks like it! I’m going to pull it off to verify, thanks a million!

    SF 97 Status

I recently bought an 1151 and my sf97 status never updated - an sf97 just showed up in the mail. It took nearly 3 months to get the sf97, so you don’t need to worry yet. I’ve bought Army and Marine Corp trucks, Marine Corp definitely takes longer. You can call the customer service hotline and...

    REV overheating - normal?

REV trucks have a different fan system, that roaring fan isn’t part of it. Has a direct geared driven fan with a viscous clutch.

    M1151a1 revb a/c hose

I thought so, but if you look up the hose it’s short and runs to a connector, also shows a red high side cap - this one runs from the condenser to the evaporator inside the truck (notice the parts manual doesn’t have the other numbered). I’m going to pull if off and have one made, seems like the...

    M1151a1 revb a/c hose

Thanks. My neighbor suggested having it repaired. Plenty of hydraulic hose type repair shops in this area. Regardless I guess I’ll plan on removing it and finding the part number that way.

    M1151a1 revb a/c hose

Spent time today tracking down my a/c leak - more like huge hole. Exhaust burned the a/c line completely through - anyway, I’ve spent the last hour or more pouring through TM’s and no luck getting the correct hose part number. Is there a special TM for revb a/c? I found the supposed correct part...

    How costly will this be?

Welcome to the surplus HMMWV hobby. I’m newer at this, on my 3rd now - I can tell you for sure that the outflow of money for finding new things missing is just beginning. But the guys here are super helpful. My advice from mistakes made, don’t try to cheap out on components - a lot of fake...

    Another HMMWV in limp mode

I had a similar experience - after confirming the wires are correctly connected at the battery, the relay behind the commander seat (on the same panel as the resettable fuse) needs to have 12v in. On my truck the relay was bad causing the exact same symptoms you are having. The TM (and Michael...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Spent time purging air from my p/s system. Truck has a noticeable humming sound inside that seems to be coming from the brake booster, so was hoping it would fix it. No luck, but now I know the air is purged. Pump isn’t noisy.

    New-Old Stock HMMWV?

Look at that auction - spray paint over the auction stickers. They spend time trying to make the good ones run from what I’m told (reliable sources). I’m no expert but don’t believe your lying eyes on this one. There are some really nice trucks sometimes, but the devil is in the details. Keep...

    New-Old Stock HMMWV?

LOL. That sir, in my opinion, is a ragged junkbox rattle canned at gov planet to pretend to be pretty. In my estimation the motor is in its sunset days with 20 psi of oil pressure. I guess if you’ve never bought an auction truck you might’ve led to believe that.

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Went to Surfside Beach this morning, got caught in the rain. Saw a small tornado. Still worth it!

    Transmission control module questions

I went through this. Since you have it at a shop and aren’t working on it yourself, you are at their mercy. I guess you start throwing money at it if you trust them. But me, I followed the tm troubleshooting myself and fixed mine. Relay turned out to be bad. TM for the win.

    New M1165 Jigsaw Puzzle

This image from the TM should help you with the DWF puzzle. As a new to the Hmmwv world guy myself, if you familiarize yourself with the TM parts manuals they will really go far in teaching you a lot of things. Keep in mind most of these parts were removed but the lines remain.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Installed this turret last weekend. Still having an issue with a couple of the original self locking nuts that hold the hatch assy, they won’t come off or go on. Trying gentle persuasion before I get the heat out.

Black Dog Customs Hydraulic Fan Delete Kit

I’ll say this though, Michael Vaden from Black Dog Customs helped me get my transmission fixed and working on the A2, going so far as to talking me though it with a phone call (and selling me the electric relay parts for a good price). I was a nobody and he took the time out to help, props for that.

Black Dog Customs Hydraulic Fan Delete Kit

My experience. Fresh from the auction the original hydraulic clutch on my a2 was bad, I ended up using the one from wartech performance as it was on sale at the time (he’s located in Canada) as it was a cheaper alternative and seemed like a good idea. So far I love it - truck runs about 200 all...
