a big welcome from louisiana. your not to far from me so if you need something maybe i can help. glad you joined up . hope to see you at one of our rallies:beer:
good looking gen set. mine looks the same .. tank included. it dont run on the bottom tank unless you turn that tank on. it really only fills up the top day tank. one pull and it starts so easy.
man that looks like the rear winch off a wrecker.. you need that off that truck before you tear up your front end .. way to much weight on the front.. over loaded tires to say the least.
the big thing to me is how much will you have to spend to make it road worthy enough for the trip home. those old seals will surely give out and leaks will be every where. it would be worth much more if it had the original bed on it.. that said and i can see you spending some just to get it...
i was there around 4 years ago.. has a blast with over 10 trucks and hundreds of guys. that was a great time i had . meet some of the best guys in the world. hoping to go again:beer:
i hope all goes well. im off around 330 in the afternoon.. and its only 1 1/2 hours to gulfport so if you need some help or something shout my way..good luck ol buddy:beer:
murphy was in that truck last. dont you hate him so.. i dont see any problem with that fix up.. but the access hole in the cab is not a bad idea either.
sept 16th in cate square hammond louisiana there will be a MIA/POW service. i will be bringing a duece and trailer for display. local college band and many veteran organizations will be on hand for this event. if anyone wants to attend and/or bring a mv shout back. i will take pics and post...
my deepest sympathy to lifers family. they will be in my prayers as they go thru this troubled times. in HIS hands you will all get the guidance that is needed to ease your pain. he will be remembered always as one of a kind.
that was by far the worst time in my life. i cannot describe all the hardships that many had to endure in the weeks after the storm. i missed 4 days of work trying to get fuel. food and a cheaper running generator for my family. 9 hours in line to buy 10 gals of gas is a reality check for sure...
glad you made it over to the SS side of life. please post up some pics for us to see.. i will make it a must go and see you down there with those aircrafts. you will have to have all pics resized to the small 640 something to post them here. cant wait to see what you are working on.
