I had one of this for 2 years it was nice . had the flathead V8 and the 4SPD box the shift pattern was backwards first was where 3rd would be also the T/C had sore of a set up like a M52A2 they call it compensator but you could also lock in 4x4 , it would run 50-55MPH on the HWY i still have all...
Any twist and lock cable will work lots of them for sale on internet like the ones used on dueces and 5 tons just need to fab some brackets and connect cable to top of the pedal ... the HMMWV are little hard to use i try thats why i when the other route
I done this 2 ways in my M1009 i used a throttle cable and connected to gas pedal and i just pull and lock it , the other was the M1010 i just unlpug the cold start selenoid wire on the IP and put a 12V supply with the a toggle switch and turn it on when i want fast idle just keep in mind you...
Well today i was able to spend some timing pressure cleaning the ferret i work on it for about 2 hours and still need another cleaning which will try next week and after that will removed some of the linkage i will not be using so i can star planning repower here are some pictures
Well finally got to put the engine out so now still got to remove some more lines and cables then mayor cleaning to start planning the repower and transmission set up here are some pictures
Thank you for the heads up but the rotation is reversed on the outside sproket that drives the tracks, i had a reversed rotation drive to put in it, because some one mention that to me before few years back {its being apart for 13 years} and since i had the drive axel out it made some sense...
Well after my friend pick up the track 2 weeks ago we got to work on it today, drove up early this morning and we got it done just need to paint engine bay and tow it back home...:-D
