    Now, what? Help!

OK, after messing with the steering box on and off, mostly off, for a couple of weeks, let me recount. First, there are differences in the trucks as they were not computer made parts. I got Military Vehicles No. 116, with the steering gear removal article. Close, but no cigar on my truck...

    Steering Wheel Puller

I just got a surplus steering wheel puller, like new if not new, to remove the steering wheel on the M35 when I rebuild the steering gear. After I finish, I can lend it to anyone needing it. All you pay is the freight both ways.

    Shock Change Gurus, Help!

OK, I got the civilian 66903 shocks. I cut the bushings in half. There are eight metal cups to hold the bushings on the original shock and only four on the replacement. Do I use only the four for the new shocks or use the old metal cups to fill out the assembly? Does the new bushing ride on...

Put on the Spin On Filters Today!

Put the jatonka spin on oil filters today. They look good and the oil pressure seems to come up quicker. A neat installation. Now, if only John would make spin on secondary fuel filter adapters, it would be a snap to change the filters. Hint! :)

    Power Steering Conversion?

Has anyone done a power steering conversion on a M35? I do not like the air assist much and thought a power steering conversion from a semi might be suitable.

I just got jatonka's spin on primary fuel filter kit installed on the deuce. Looks great, easier to change the filter and a quick install. Now we see how it performs.

I Need A Starter or a Rebuilt Starter

Where do I find either a used starter for the M35a2 to rebuild or a rebuilt starter? With the recent problems, it is a matter of time before replacement.

    Bingo!

Earlier today I was posting my frustration on getting the M35a2 started. FreightTrain suggested using a hammer to 'tap' the starter while cranking. Bingo! Started like a champ. David is out riding around showing off once again. :D Thanks for the tip guys. Oh, and I mentioned this BFH...

    Changing Batteries

My former M35 batteries coughed it up this week. So, I got to working on replacements. I found 6TL at O'Reilly's for $135 and figured they were a good enough deal. When I got to removing the batteries the connectors were in poor shape. So, I thought, why not O'Reilly's again? Sure enough...
