i called when my m816 was down stuck.. com wrecker company told me off road recovery was 450.00 per hour.. i too did the lava rocks and timbers they do work:ditto:2cents:p

always like to hear some praise about those GL guys and gals that help out. over their job description type things.. always good to have a friend in the know that helps out . a big thumbs up to them all:-P

lets hope that some others that read this post will think again about doing something like that.. safety first all the time

wish you were close. a m816 would be the ticket.. dont know of any that are close enought to help out

sorry to hear that about the stolen part.. i to have had a light mysteriously come up missing so i know the feeling .. you would never have thought that a friend would do that with others around but it does happen.

that winch came on the early power wagons.. i had a 52 m37 that someone had installed that same winch on... to make it work you had to cut the front grille in the lower driver side.. the handle that engages the winch goes backwards into the grill.. i took that winch off sold it and put the...

goldneagle in slidell had put a set on his 5ton.. chrome ones but had a key.. seams like they were for a mail jeep. easy to paint them up.. hope he chims in:beer:

i have some lights i just need the plug that goes into the dash.. i can make up a wire so if anyone has a couple of those plugs that will fit my 816 and 818 i would be interested . thanks Tim[thumbzup]

ditto to the post by ralbelt. your best long term bet is to go to competent starter/alt rebuild shop and for under 100 bucks you can get it better than new condtion.. only takes one or two days but worth the wait:ditto:2cents
