Tires as stated are ONLY rated to 55 MPH MAX, then the only thing you need to be aware of is the magic 2100 RPM on the motor, the 855 does not RPM higher than that, I do not know much about the 8.3 but I am guessing its going to be in the same area. You mention the size of the 939 series, yes...
Higgs that is a good looking truck, I have not seen many in a solid green, I like it. If the truck runsa as good as it looks you are in store for a lot of fun! Read ALL the TMs deuces are also very good trucks but not anywhere near as complicated as the 939 series, enjoy the read and have fun...
Bob Thank you very much for the information you have certainly given me a new direction to proceed on with this project, and as far as the choke goes I new nothing about this and just thought it worked like every other choke assembly I have used in the past. Thanks again Bob, your suggestions...
Jake the truck is looking pretty darned good, if I can only make one suggestion, it would look REALLY nice with a 3 color NATO woodland cargo cover! That would be the crown on the king Jake!

Another model number I have seen this unit called is a BAT-21, to the best of my knowledge its based on a T-34 Chassis with essentially a truck cab mounted to it, most I have seen have just a tank towing assembly on the back and a dozer blade on the front, whenever I see one of these beasts they...
I drive the truck about 2000 miles a year partly to truck shows and parades and the rest just my own personal use, it is greatly my preference to be able to drive the truck and fill with fuel when I need to and if I can get non-ethanol fuel use that but there are times when that is just not...
Hello Folks I have an aiisue that I would like some suggestions/ideas on how to best fix! I have a 68 Ex Swiss Army 404.1 Unimog and when I bought it it ran well but started kind of hard, it needed more cranking than I thought it should, well in looking at the problem I found the fuel pump was...
Good Morning Kyle, I am back in town for a while now and getting ready to tackle the 404, were you ever able to come up with the model numbers of the components I am going to need to convert my 404 to an electric fuel pump, or could you point me in the direction that you went, I see no need to...
I would have to say it depends on how your state looks at this type of truck, in ND since its NOT a commercially operating truck you do not need a CDL to drive it, if your state is like ours I would check the fluids brakes etc. and if the truck itself is up to the task just drive it. Obviously...
Kyle when I pull the fuel pump off will I be able to tell when I dissemble it that ethanol in the fuel is what is causing my problem, will the main diaphram show sighns of degredation because of this type fuel? When you switched over to an electric pump did you leave the old fuel pump in place...
Kyle thanks for the information on this and its pretty interesting to say the least since I am already having trouble with the fuel pump after the rebuild, I did not ever give anythought about Ethanol messing with the rubber pump components but there is certainly some credence to what your...
Nice looking truck the 939 series trucks are a very nice ride and yours looks like a pretty nice example, get the little things fixed and you will have a lot of fun!

Maybe this might help. I bought a Deuce a few years ago that had been sitting for a LONG time outside in the elements (HOT) I drove the truck about 250 miles home and everything seemed just peachy and just for a precaution I pulled a rear hub to have a look at the wheel bearing, at first glance...
I use Blackstone to test our oil samples of our over the road trucks Generally their results have been OK. In looking at your results here I see nothing out of line for this engine, at least nothing that is really bad or anything that I would worry about. Keep your fluids fresh and you should...
Congrats on the 37 Hal it sure looks like its all there, apparently the batt. cutoff was added somewhere after it left the Govt. Looks like its got a whole lots of potential to be beautiful once again AND it has the winch (SWEET). I like the 37s very much neat trucks to drive very easy to work...
Use the same oil that has been used forever in these trucks, and make positive it GL-1 or GL-5 compliant, in other words YELLOW METAL FRIENDLY, Very important!
