IMHO there is no big difference between a NA 6.2 and 6.5. Now the turbo 6.5 is a bit different. If your looking at HMMWVs for sale 99.99% will have a 6.2 in them as most of these will be 85-93 models. you do have to watch for cylinder wall cracks in early 6.5 blocks

why do you ask? the geared hub is a great piece of engineering

no. 48-52 came with a flat head L-134 go devil. 2.2 could be from a Ford Pinto.

some pictures of the motor would help. from the looks of the hood it appears it was modified for a over head valve engine to fit under there.

do you plan to put the armor back on it or leave it the way it is? Some interesting mods/fabrication on that track

I park mine on a hill. When its time to go I release the brake let it roll and pop the the cluth in third gear. Works every time. I don't want to put any strain on my starter or batteries. :razz:

In GA you simply needed the form 97 and as stated a LEO to verify the VIN to get your title. Everything was/is above board, legal and proper.

The trucks sold at the auctions in Atlanta GA and Riverside CA were all sold as off road use only. I was there at the GA auction.. With that said I don't know of anyone who had troulble gettting them titled. In GA you had to get the VIN verified by an LEO and the paper work to go along with it...
