Sounds like the clutch maybe had no free play and the throw out bearing was running all the time. Bearing finally went out and seized and then burned the fingers off the pressure plate. I have had that happen several times on farm tractors and trucks.
I can't really answer your question but I bought 4 from a salvage yard that at one time had a semi trailer load from all the MUTTS they had killed. I was on good terms with the guy and he let me pick the ones I wanted. 80% or better mounted with air included for $10.00 apiece. Now bear in...
In Ga a farmer does not need a CDL to haul his own products within 150 miles from the farm. But if I cross over into SC which is only 50 miles they require a Cdl.
I have welded many cast pieces and never had a failure even though I was told I could not weld some of these pieces. Grind both pieces on all sides on a bevel till you have about a quarter inch thicknest left in the middle. You need nichol rods for cast. One eighth inch will work good. set it up...
I am not sure what a bolster trailer looks like but I may be able to haul it out. I live 40 miles from Fort Stewart and have plenty of storage space. I am out of town on a motel computer now and and checking out in a few minutes and will not be back on here until Sunday night.
I will check...
If you have hydralic stabilizer legs it would probable be OK. If I were doing it I would center it over the axles or at least a little closer to the front. I have loaded logs with my 5 ton wrecker and a big log off to the side put a pretty big load on it.
flyfishing44, since you are new I think you missed an inside joke and I will let you in on it. When Mr Grinch rebuked patracy on his comment that was a joke as patracy is the all seeing internet god that just recently took over the net reins of SS and has made a tremendous improvement in the...
I don't really think an injector would be sticking open. They usually just stop up or get coked and don't spray the correct pattern. Put some small air pressure in the fuel tank for a couple minutes and then ckeck for leaks in the fuel lines. Loosen the bleeder screw and turn on the master...
Certainly sounds like a fuel issue. Could be air but it should clear up by itself if it is driven very much. Did you disturb any rubber lines when working on it?? If so you may have cracked a hard line and are getting air in the system while running. Also could be filters and it just...
Sounds like broken transfer uless the shifter is out of adjustment and its not really engaged. With the transmision turning move the transfer shifter up and down and see if you find a place where it grinds. Don't force it just move easily.
Wooa Dave, I don't know whats going on but don't get to hasty. You have way to much love in that jeep to break it up. We are all hurting but let us know what is up and maybe we can help. I am having to make some major changes also because of a bad crop year. Lets hang together and maybe we...
Someone posted a wiring diagram while I was typing. That is good but hard for me to trace. There is a post on reparing a three lever switch that gives the pin locations and is a very good writeup. If I were better with computers I would post the link, But do a search on three lever light...
Tracing out light problems can be a bit$h. I have spent several hours tring to get the lights on my M151 to work again. Turns out I probably had a short that fried my three lever switch. My replacement switch did not work also. I took a switch out of my duece today after I saw it work the...
Just my opinion and you know about them, but if the frame and sheetmetal are sound and with all the little parts you say go with it that is a decent price. I would buy it if it was closer.
