Spin On Fuel Filters -- Update

I have been running the jatonka secondary spin on fuel filters in both trucks now for about four months. The primary spin on was put on last August in the second truck and months before on the original truck. The primary filter has made a huge improvement in the amounts of crud being removed...

    Starting problem

Yesterday was the first time I had the opportunity to test out whether or not the relay replacement would solve my starting problem. The truck, purchased from GL last July would intermittently start after heating up. Cold it would start in a heart beat. Hot, maybe, maybe not. Replacing the...

    No brake lights

One really good solution to grounding problems is to contact Grainger and buy a variety of the interior/exterior star washers. New star washers can cover a lot of problems quickly.

    oil change mess up

Some how JT has become the major source for the correct gaskets around here it seems. For a guy selling the spin on adapters, that is very generous.

    Starting problem

OK, I give up following this stuff. I should have majored in electronics. For me, replacing the starter relay was simple and it seemed to work. Wiring around it is more complex than I can handle. Will someone show me the door so I can go home?

    Starting problem

I found my relay on eBay. It was fairly cheap, but I have not seen one since. $89 at TNJ Murray.

    Starting problem

Bjorn, you are one of the great assets of Steel Soldiers. I read everyone of your posts. As a result, I can now trouble shoot most of the electrical problems I run into. This one is new, and I will mark it on my computer for sure. Took about 15 minutes to fix the turn signals, again. :-D

    Starting problem

My second deuce would start sometimes and not others. Mostly when it had been driven some and shut down, it would not start again for a long period. I replaced the starter relay, it had a stripped nut which would not tighten further but was fairly tight, and it seems cured. You may want to...

    Fuel Filter Gaskets

JT not only carries the items, he manufactures them! JT has gone to the trouble and expense of designing a complete line of spin on filters for the multi-fuel engine. Primary fuel, secondary fuel and oil filters are included. I have them on both of my trucks. I have never had a problem with...

    Fuel Filter Gaskets

I have never had a problem with the spin on filters needing 'priming'. I just turn on the ignition, wait a few seconds and start it up.

    air pac ?

Rebuilding is quite easy, but for one part. Follow the TM. Clean everything. The gasket for the piston end cap is too small. Soak it for several days in the brake fluid and squeeze it into place. It should work fine after. I posted some pics a while back. I think the easy thing is to get...

    Air Pack End Plate Seal

I soaked my one remaining gasket in the brake fluid as you suggested for ten days. It seems to work, even if not as rapidly as you suggested. I found the gasket just barely pliable enough to go around the end plate. On being tightened it flattened out and probably will work fine. Others may...
