Im sure it's probably a common issue. How do you go about getting new inserts or rigging the pulled out insert holes to fit some kind of nut? I know there are alternatives out there since the holes are likely stretched out too much to fit a standard insert.

That is good advice. I have avoided a heck of a lot of trouble in my life by being nice to LEOs. Most of the time it was because I was doing something wrong though! But, that was my teens and 20's. Im over all that now. Now if if I am in the wrong, I just admit it, apologize and ask for mercy...

That's why I am always nice to Law enforcement. Even when they are wrong, sometimes you just let them be wrong and smile be polite. Most of these guys will write you a warning if you are just honest and polite. Most. Not all. :)
