I see. Well, some Kroil might break it loose. And a hammer!
I'll assume it is like mine, a caster bolted to the foot of a jack. If it is, measure the bolt pattern, go to Home Depot and just buy a new caster.
This is funny to read. The general consensus is that a 5-Ton is just a normal utilitarian vehicle! Like the Honda Civic.
I love this world where a 5 ton is considered normal!
Should be like a m105 but, I am looking for a water buffalo trailer.
I could make make a trailer for it easily, but I'm trying to undo a mistake by taking it apart.
Bought a Water Buffalo a few years ago ($400), like an idiot, I just figured that was the going rate and I could find them any time I wanted one. So i took the double wall stainless tank off and turned the frame into a dump trailer bed. (Which is working out really well!)
but, I sort of want...
Anyone? I'll buy it, I don't expect to guilt someone into donating one! Ok, well, I kind of wanted to, but it is t necessary!
If if they had one for sale on GovPlanet, I'd just buy it. But nothing in Utah which is the only real option.
Just keeping this up near the top.
On on another note...
Etrailer.com has a ton of them. May have to find a bolt on, I don't know if they have one that attaches the same way as mine does (I am assuming ours are alike).
Mine probably have a little bigger holes because they pulled out, so I figure a little epoxy engineering might be in order. Probably bend the aluminum back down, add a little epoxy around the new one, set in place, let it dry before tightening them down too much. Some release agent on the bolts...
Not this one, my friend! This one is special! I got a very good trailer this time.
New tarp, never been used, tires had whiskers on all the lugs still. The center lug whiskers wore off in 50 miles. These tires have never seen pavement.
I have won and lost on GovPlanet auctions. This one was...
Done!
Thanks, I didn't know the name, couldn't google it. Google wont understand the term "thingy that goes in the hole that you screw bolt into". Too many bad "keywords" in there. :)
Im sure it's probably a common issue. How do you go about getting new inserts or rigging the pulled out insert holes to fit some kind of nut? I know there are alternatives out there since the holes are likely stretched out too much to fit a standard insert.
My buddy and I formed a fundraiser for Mission 22 based around driving a 5-ton 2000 miles, traveling from Idaho to Texas. (Details below). We are in need of a trailer. 105A2, 1101, or 1102 something along those lines. Can't post in the wanted/for sale section, so I'll post here to see if anyone...
Headed to Texarcana tomorrow to get a trailer I accidentally bought at GP.
Are there any Army surplus stores around Texarcana or between there and Dallas I should visit? Maybe try out a seat if they have one?
I have a M923A2 that is about to make a long road trip with two broke dudes driving it.
What aftermarket seat have you tried that is very comfortable.
I'll unbolt the bench seat and bolt the passenger seat directly to the battery box and build a center console. And, bolt the drivers seat to...
That is good advice. I have avoided a heck of a lot of trouble in my life by being nice to LEOs. Most of the time it was because I was doing something wrong though! But, that was my teens and 20's. Im over all that now.
Now if if I am in the wrong, I just admit it, apologize and ask for mercy...
That's why I am always nice to Law enforcement. Even when they are wrong, sometimes you just let them be wrong and smile be polite. Most of these guys will write you a warning if you are just honest and polite.
Most. Not all. :)
Yeah, I think it's safe to say this question has been answered sufficiently. :)
Ill get a class B even though I don't technically need it for farm ranch work.
