Help me decide the next mod.

Actually it would work great in the mud if you could get about 70 MPH wheel speed.

Help me decide the next mod.

If you are going to run the 4:56's then stay with the 700. putting the manual in is doable but a lot of work. The nice thing is that you have the donor truck complete so EVERTHING you need is there. Pedals, crossmember, driveshafts. the rear shaft would have to be shortened but putting the 14...

Help me decide the next mod.

You have 4:11 in the back and 3:75? (3:73) in the front?! Your next mod better be to match the ratios. Rick

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

CJ, I towed a 5000 lb. boat on a regular basis with my civvie blazer with a class three hitch. Granted I had put in 3:73 gears but that is a **** of a lot cheaper than trying to find a good M1008. You have had nothing but trouble with your military vehicle and have spent thousands of dollars on...

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

When I had my shop in the 80's I put 3:73's and 4:10's in a ton of Blazers that had 3:07's in them from the factory. The only ones that had the 3:73's from the factory were bought with a towing package. I do agree that the 3:08 and overdrive was worthless but that was the thinking of the day...

    Should I?

You DO NOT want to cross the border into Canada with firearms!!!! You will have to ship them or take the ferry as long as you don't have to go through Canadian customs with the guns. Rick

    kenworth coe k100

I will bet big money that with the intake hose off the turbo is packed solid with mouse nest, and yes, they piss and crap where they sleep which will have corroded the interior of the turbo housing. Exhaust is open, if there is no drain hole at the bottom of the pipe the water will have gone all...

    diagnose-help please

If you put in a manual switch and are using the original series glow plug then you cooked them. They will only handle full power for a fairly short time. That is why most go to the AC60 plugs. Rick

    more speed?

If you want to go fast in a big MV truck then go out and buy an OTR truck and paint it OD. Some of these will top 100 mph. Rick

    ?will 1100-20 bargrips fit a m105A2

Jimbob, The first thing that caught my eye in that picture was the stencil saying CARC 99. And there is mold growing on the trailer! I thought that was not supposed to be able to happen with CARC? Rick

Need opinions - Civi 6.5 buy

Maybe it is just because I am old but I had one **** of a time reading that last post. I had to read it several times. I guess it all makes sense to the texting generation but not me. My phone makes and receives calls, that is all it does. I have texted on occasion and I do take the time...

Need opinions - Civi 6.5 buy

Are you sure the water in the oil is just not a blown head gasket or cracked oil cooler. May be a perfectly good engine. I would definitely get it and check it out. Rick

    more speed?

This is probably one of the best points ever brought up. Most people under the age of 60 do not remember when single circuit brakes were common. Everybody now a days just figures if I lose one I will have something left. AIN"T HAPPENING!!! If you blow a line you got nothing. So now you grab the...

Injector Pump stud nuts...How in the world...

I have done it with the intake on but it has been a long time ago. I do remember using several extensions and a couple were wobble extensions. I don't remember it being all that bad other than laying on top of the engine. Wobble extension are GREAT! I use them all the time even when I don't need...
