Welcom from ND darned nice looking 35, I also have a 71 A2 and of a couple weeks ago called my restoration complete, I would be happy to help in any way possible as you start getting into this truck and you have resources from the guys on this site that you could never put a $ value on, they...
19kilo that truck looks like it will be a true pleasure to drive, that is one high quality looking vehicle! One suggestion on the tools, when you get your list put together you might want to ship them down there and pick them up when you arrive, I guarantee it would be cheaper for you to do...
fieight dog that is a SWEET looking A3 and trust me I do understand the COLD, I live in Fargo and and drive an A2 and this is my second winter with that truck. My preferance is to add about 2 tons to the rear of the truck and drop the tire pressure down to about 20 pounds per tire I am running...
I must commend your fabrication skills here I have to agree with Chaplain it looks beautiful and also agree I think your number of tool boxes is darned impressive. I am looking very forward to seeing the pics as it progresses and after completion, you certainaly have a very nice start to the...
Congrats once again preacherboy and since you are one of US let me say that you are the owner of one beautiful truck that I am sure will provide tons of entertainmnet for you!

WOW you guys have experienced one of my really bad dreams, I can sure see in an emergency situation it being hard to let these motors warm up good to operating temp but any way you look at holes in the block where they are not supposed to be is avery bad thing! Install the new motor and get...
Good Grief it hurts to see a NICE looking Deuce in that position looks like you stuck her pretty darned good. This leads me to one question WHY WHY WHY do we always end up doing the really dirty work (getting unstuck) after dark I swear my whole life I seem to end up in thsi situation, and...
Never argue with the wife when she comes up with an idea as GOOD as that one, there is nothing but good things to come in making her happy! Do I see MORE M-37 in you future?? I do believe you need to put something in that shed with all the new room you are going to have!!!!! That is a good...
A3 parts, Alfred10 once other thing am I am not positive about this but Memphis Equipment has a conversion kit to replace the spindles on the A3 so that they will accept all the A2 components primarily bearings and seals I dont know what this means as to availability of A3 bearings and seals but...
I would like to give a huge congrats on the new 37, you have an extremely nice starting point with this truck and the 37 is small enough that you can darned near use it for a daily driver. A good source of parts in MN is John Byzal he seems to have some very nice stuff and prices seem to be...
I have been following this thread closely and have to say THIS was one of the best threads I have ever seen on SS, Great pics and videos and it looked like something I really wish we had around my neck of the woods because I would be there! GREAT job you guys following the thread and looking at...
I know this does not help you but THAT is one fine looking truck and if its just the cable that is the problem you will have made a very wise purchase, I think I have a bad case of 5 ton ENVY, I drive a Deuce!! Good luck with the recovery I am betting all will be good!!

Wilber I very much appreciate the info but in all honesty I think I have been talked out of the tracks idea, to many people here had to many othere ideas that just plain made more sense but thanks again!

My coolness idea is losing ground very rapidly guys, 73m819 your ideas on the front axle is another very good one there are mor than one way to skin a cat and your ideas sound a lot easier (NOT AS COOL) than messing with tracks of any type. Thanks a LOT guys decent idea in theory but I am...
Very good thoughts on this subject whyme and your point do make a lot of sense, the part about the amount of weight on the front axle is very concerning, if got inot a place where the back WAS floating the front is still going to sink like a rock! I am starting to think the coolness factor is...
I am very familier with Mattracks they are mfg less than 150 miles from my office, really nice YES really effective YES these would quadrupal the cost of my Deuce and that is something most definately do not want to do! I am WAY to cheap for that solution
KK
Sorry about that but I really did a search on the subject and could not find anything, I will look further and see if I can fin that thread and thanks for letting me know that

Good Afternoon Folks I have a question concerning a post this morning from a guy looking to purchase a Deuce, the one he is looking at comes with a set of tracks that appear to go over the rear duals, I believe the guy stated that these were thought to be modified tracks from a 113 APC, Does...
The truck certainly looks decent but I have a question, WHAT is with the tracks? is this something that is common to Deuces? I have never seen them before, anything more you can tell me about these would sure be appreciated?? Thanks and good luck with the truck looks like a very solid place...
I posted pics of my Deuce a couple weeks ago after finishing up the restoration so you can see this stuff. The two best things I feel I have done are to Rhino line the interior floors and up the back of the cab and installed 1 inch thick tractor cab insulation in the cab, these two items made...
