I am going to change drive-train oils also this month.
Should you warm up the differential oil first by normal driving, then add the diesel? I would not want to run around with diesel in there too long, but draining oil that is not warm does not sound like a good idea either.
Is just getting...
Probably because they can sell inside the EU for similar prices without the hassle. Besides, several of the sellers are not really full-time big players on the international market, that is, outside the European Union, so they would probably have little experience with all the hoops they have to...
Norton used to be good, but ended up like Vista: too big and resource-draining and not working properly. With a non-profit working with students and volunteers (using IE for youtube, porno and other stuff you don't want to know), we had to have good stuff. AVG is good but Nod32 Business seems...
I tried to open the page in Firefox and got several warnings, after checking around and googling on that site, also the warning:
What is the current listing status for projectboats.com?Site is listed as suspicious - visiting this web site may harm your computer.

I'd love to. Unfortunately, although they are not expensive in parts, they do not give presents either. They know what they have and that there always will be some market for them somewhere on the world where they can ship it to, so no need to dump stuff for low prices.
Makes sense and does not. With regular checks, I would accept the oil should not be lower than the 1/2". However, when draining hot oil and refilling, I would think they would give a max level, or they just go by the amount.
Whatever, I will split the difference.
Made a visit again to buy some stuff. They had cleaned the yard and put all the trucks nice in line. The last but one pic shows the back of a line of Vans. At the end of that line, they have a few tank trucks (last pic).
Ron, please don't get me nervous. What you are saying is that the civi design asks for a "fill to the plug level", and the army LOWERED the recommended level to avoid leaking in heavy nose-down position? That would mean that when filled according the army lub order, the trans actually is...
This is what has me upset auaauaaua and I am looking for a filler pump to do this during my next working round. In normal field operation, or even in a nice clean workshop, how you fill to exactly 1/2" below the level plug? Certainly does not make for quick and efficient working. Why not make a...
Somehow that Peterbilt looks out of proportion and small, maybe because of the pick-up bed. Removing one axle and shortening it did not help lower the weight enough?
Thanks for the explanation
A guy who also has a lot of stuff on Willies and knows a lot is Joop Staman in the Netherlands (last three pics). He bought a lot of jeep surplus material decades ago. He also regularly ships to the USA. Ditto Reomie (first two pics).
Some pics added from jeeps I saw in the Netherlands. Most if...
Mine costs around $210 (blame a bad exchange rate, it is 150 Eur). Shipping would be possible, but I am afraid they only have green, not tan. Although green is original for my truck, I would not mind having a tan soft top and cover. It certainly looks very fitting on your truck.
OK. Enough is enough. Time for one or all of you to enlighten a cold logical thinking European about some, shall I say "weirdness" in American law and in behavior? :cookoo:
1) How the friggin h*ll do you manage to get a Pete 379 (nice trucks, would love to have one) declassified as a...
Thanks for the offer; working with your left still on would be more helpful through ;) ;)
As to a metal shop with stuff, I think that once the truck is in the Czech Republic, I have all I need, actually out-sizing and out-aging the truck needs and seniority. My stepson is a blacksmith working...
Great pics, thanks. What are those bows made off, just bent metal tubes?
My new canvas soft-top was just folded and packed in plastic, no talcum in sight. Looked like the real military NOS
The Kenworth is great and the PLS shows that at least with the really big boys it existed.
Back to basics: did anybody ever made the conversion for real with an M35 or M39 (or other 5-ton truck), especially using the existing dump hoist system for it?
One for sale here, maybe not the only one. Price about 18K, not counting shipping. No connections with seller, only passing on info I know about.
